Just wanted to say thanks for the information, was having trouble getting 3.19 patch to work on Windows 8.
Specifically the right click and opening civ 4 as administrator.
So I can get them to work independently (if you save Bug as a mod instead of installing it right in custom assets) there really isnt an issue.
If you ever find a way to merge them please post it because Bug adds some interesting improvements without really changing game play (at least imo).
I tried to edit that fix and it didnt seem to work unless im doing something wrong.
I changed the following
; Custom XML and Python from user folder are not loaded
NoCustomAssets = 1
In both the ini.bak file and the starting point configurations (tried all combinations as well). Still...
When I uninstall bug it works, so clearly thats the problem. If anyone has any tips or solutions that would be great, otherwise ill just turn off bug for a while and play.
Yeah I have admin rights. Im going to try and reinstall bug with this mod already saved, maybe that will do the trick. Otherwise Ill just start playing with it because the maps are loading, the civ is at the right spot (Egypt was at the Nile), just some of the files dont seem to be working...
I tried to load the mod but when it loads it goes to the "technology advisor screen" with nothing on it. When you hit "exit" the game comes up but it says "Buginit Cannot find xml init for this mod"

On the 2k forums they have said that if you delete the 1.10 patch that your multiplayer will work again. I have not tried it, nor do i vouch for it, but when I get home tonight I am going to. Just wanted to spread the word so hopefully some other people can get be around to play against. :)...
Right now it seems that the newest patch may have bugged the ability to play online. The other day I found a game in 5 minutes, now it seems no one can find one.
The good news is the demo seems to still allow online play, so its just a matter of them fixing what they changed.
