There is a diplomacy bonus of "We have fought against a common foe". However I believe this is capped at a certain value. If I want to increase this cap, what XML file and value should I change?
I have logging turned on (and AI logging turned on) and am looking through the DiplomacyAI_Approach_log. Do you guys know what the numbers x/x in column H represent? Also what do the words M_THT and W_THT mean?
I've attached a sample log. I'm playing as indonesia in this game.
According to this article: http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Warmongering_(Civ5)
I can view my war monger score in a log file in MyDocuments/Civ 5/Logs
However, there are many files here and I can't seem to find any records of my war monger score. Any help? Thanks.
UPDATE:
I think I found...
If Civ A is at war with Civ B, will I get warmonger penalties from Civ A if I declare war on Civ B and then take Civ Bs cities?
Another question, if Civ A asks me to declare war on Civ B, together with him, do I get any warmonger penalties from Civ A if I accept?
Thanks.
If you go to setup a new game with advanced settings, one of the options is to disable start bias. Does that mean if I am a civ with a horse unique unit, there is more likely to be horses in my capital if this bias is on?
Just before you declare war, trade all your resources to the AI for a lump sum of gold. Then declare war.
I think this should probably be fixed so that if you do it once then you lose the trust of the AIs for this sort of trade i.e. no other AI will be willing to lend you a lump sum amount...
My win rate on Emperor is close to 100%, so I decided to try Immortal.
Settings:
Small map, standard speed, 6 civs pangea, random leader.
It was mid way through the game and I had captured 2 capitals. There were three AI civs remaining. Germany and I (England) were at war with the Iroquis. In...
I had a game where I played as the Iroquois. Built a second city close to capital with forests in friendly territory in between - yet there was no trade route. Anyone managed to get this trait to work?
When you get your armies encircling the enemies cities to prepare for war, the AI will ask what they are doing there. Do you normally tell the truth or lie and bide more time?
You know how you are in the middle of war and you ask them to bury the hatchet, they will give terms which are sometimes in your favour and other times in their favour. How exactly is the AI coded to determine whether it should ask you for something or instead offer something to end the war...
Any tips for protective trait? I've heard people say you should focus on getting feudalism, but what if I want to be on the offensive? The reason I don't like just defending is that you can't get enough land without attacking.
I'm playing with Saladin in particular, but would like any general...
Simple question - what is the ideal time to build courthouses? Do you build them in all cities, or just cities with maintenance above a certain amount?
Is it possible to win a domination game without building a single courthouse?
EDIT: Just to clarify the second question, I am assuming you...
I want to modify the XML files so that I can still create outdated units. For example, if I can make cavalry, I want to also be able to make knights. Is there a way to do this? I'm guessing its based on the promotion line but I'm not entirely sure.
The reason is that I want to restrict the...
Is this UU worth building and/or beelinging if you play celtia? If you do, do you go via the Guerilla promotion path (hills) or just CR?
So far I'm a bit unimpressed by this UU.
The diplo bonus: "Our trade relations have been fair and forthright"
Where is the limit stored? I looked in civ4leaderheadinfos.xml but couldn't find it.
There is a iBonusTradeAttitudeChangeLimit but I think that's the limit on resource trade which is 2.
