Just stumbled onto the CivUP website and been reading about it a little. I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with this set of mods and what they thought of it. Especially in regard to compatibility with BNW.

On my 4th BNW game now and I'm experimenting with have an equal number of Civs and CS. I play on small maps so instead of 6/12 I'm going to try 8/8 and see how that works out. Maybe it's because I am still used to Civ4 but I found the number of CS to be overwhelming in the first few CiV games...

Sort of a CiV newb here, but can you steal tiles from other Civ's cities like you could in Civ4 using culture?

I feel like I spend more time in the early eras and then the later eras go by so fast. Was playing around with the xml files and noticed this line under each era in CIV4EraInfos.xml: <!-- BBAI start: effectively modify cost for all techs from this era. Default: 0 -->...

I get the same. This is the downside of betterAI, and possibly the stumbling block that prevents it from becoming "standardized" among civ players, at least until CPU speeds (effectively) double again.

So are there any plans to start a betterAI challenge thread? Would it be appropriate in the main Strategy and Tips forum? I'll do it if nobody else more qualified wants to.
