Standard map, mostly King or higher difficulty.
I frequently get stuck losing happiness and going negative the rest of the game right around the medieval/classical eras of the game as my cities continue to grow. I've tried: using pantheons and selecting all the happiness upgrades, ICS to...
Playing on Deity.
After 5-10 turns I immediately lose all my cities and the game is over. I cannot produce any naval units strong enough to defeat the ironclads of Italy because of no iron. Literally every civ declares war after 5 turns and the situation is hopeless.
Any suggestions?
1) The scenario runs out after 50 turns and unless you capture the capital you're going to get the losing screen - even if your score is higher. However, even though you've been defeated you'll be granted the Union victory achievement (Glory, Glory...) or Confederate victory achievement (Like a...
Looks like an American civil war DLC, some additional Civs, some kind of archaeological DLC?
I can't find them in the mod list and they aren't for sale on steam yet?

4) heal and wait for wu to declare war on Siam, take Siams capital and work south.
5) take out...
Attempting to capture cities is now worthless until the modern era. IMO, the problem is how quickly the city's health regenerates. When you have 3 catapults bombarding a city and it just comes back next turn - there's a problem.
Hi,
Just started plying Civ4 again after getting bored with Civ4 Colonization. I always remembered running into a huge problem during the middle ages.
Right about that time I started hemorrhaging money, resulting in having to take my science way down. IF someone didn't declare war on me...
First off, I'm a loyal Civ fan and I've been playing since the original Colonization game came out in 1994. I just purchased a new computer and bought CIV4 Col the other day and had a chance to play it this week after patching. My questions / comments / complaints / observations.
