Thanks for letting me know! I just downloaded the 10.8.2 update or the 15" rMBP and it seems to be running great again! My only complaint is that Apple decided to fix Civ V during finals week. xD

When you say it can't run on the maximum resolution, do you mean the full 2880 x 1800? Right now, I have my display set the the default "best for Retina display." So will I even notice a difference?

Since APSYR still has not fixed the horrible performance problems that plague Retina MacBook Pros running Mountain Lion while trying to play Civ V, I'm planning on installing Windows 7 through bootcamp and getting my Civ fix that way. But I wanted to ask you guys what you think of that plan...

Just wondering, has Aspyr ever addressed the performance problems we've been experiencing with Mountain Lion?

This is getting really old. Aspyr needs to make the Mountain Lion fix a top priority.

When is Aspyr going to get around to fixing this? Didn't they say there would be a patch for Mountain Lion related problems within a month? It's been over a month, where's that patch?

Just wondering, is Aspyr working on a comprehensive patch for all of the performance issues that exist when running Civ V on OS X 10.8? I'm getting really sick of playing with all the settings set as low as possible and still having the game perform choppily.

Alrighty, thanks for that info. Also, I know it comes with 8GB of RAM standard but you can get it with 16GB for an extra $200. I can't imagine why I would need any more than 8GB since I'm not a professional photographer or video editor or whatever, so I'm planning on going with the base model...
