You should have gotten a message in the upper right that says you've won an independence victory with the option of playing longer or ending the game.

How do you get natives to help fight the king's army? I know you can pull a wagon up to a village and try to get them to declare war on another colonizing power via the trading screen but I don't see an option to fight the king.
