The only frustration i have with this game (but this is not the place) is from barbarians that are extremely OP early game.
Everything else is delusion from the missed opportunity that was working on the only thing review acclaimed of civ BE: diplomacy.
Its called bridgehead and since ancient rome they were dealt with in the same way....
Also wasting resources with no benefit to slow down a player is commonly referred as bad mechanic if avoidable (difficult to prevent in pvp but programming an AI to do so is silly).
Most others are clearly bugs.
Anything else are either known bugs or poorly tested mechanics.
And to answer the accusation of people wanting to play a wargame... i usually keep my army at minimum and focus on science... I never go to war unless forced....and i mostly go to war twice per game (epic duration), dceclaring...
More things i have noticed...
-Alliances are a necessity...without those points, everybody will hate you for ridiculous minor reasons (thing i didn't know), with that instead you can almost decide who goes against whom
-Civ will refuse your requests of friendship just to ask it themselves...
Afte hours of wamndering the internet i saw that the only way is the bauble tactic :| since i am unlucky to get proselytes, i ll send a huge troop of apostles.
So i want to try the religion victory, but i didn t understand how it works....
How am i supposed to reduce enemy religions in opponent cities?
Unless i am so lucky to have the promotion to clear all religion in enemy cities (that is quite unlikely to happen) or to control the city state that...
I would add the best part with city liberation is not getting right of transit..... so your unit get moved randomly, usualy near enemy cities just to be destroyed...
What excuses can they have to remove fixes of the previous chapter?
Not to mention that after many months we still have the hang...
Actually everyone praised CivBe diplomacy as the only good part of the game (well soundtrack was awesome too).
Its somehow similar to Civ VI agendas, but without universal malus like warmongering (i would say the opposite) and WAY more balanced in numbers.
Some civs had opposite agendas so you...
Is it just me or civ vi diplomacy manages to get the worst of all civ games?
This are all the things i noticed:
Why if you are attacked you are considered warmongering if you don't accept the first peace proposal?
Why you can get smething like 120 negative points for conquering few cities on a...
I am currently having barbarian spawning a new camp every single turn in a peninsula.
This is quite excessive..
(6 consequent turns for now)
Its clear barbarians are broken in any possible way but as soon as i kill a camp another spawns at distance 2-3......
Consider they get 2 units as soon...
Well as i said i played at slower speed so when they attacked i could not for sure build more than a single spearman even if i went full military.
Browsing the forum i saw that not only other players had the same issue but some AI also could not keep up with barbarians Attacks.
I'd like to say a few things.
People says civV AI was worst at launch... but did they magically forget everything they do in past game/expansions ?
If they fixed CIVV AI i expect it to be on par at CIV VI launch.
Diplomacy:
I still think CIVBE was the best diplomacy system. The game had flaws...
Just to be clear i am an old player from civilization...
Thus i expected scouts to report back or even worse (old barbarians in civ5 liked to suicide in order to steal your workers and destroy your buildings).
But scouts are fast and you can't kill them unless you surround them or the AI goes...
