How can I stop a cultural victory?

Spoil his reputation and start a war for freedom! See if you can lure him to declare war on someone/everyone, no matter the cost because you aren't going to keep your part of the deal anyway. Best is if you can get him to finish up Polynesia. Then, denounce him and declare war yourself. If you...

How the Emergent System gives traits

Note that only "important" leaders gain traits this way in Ashes of Erebus 13.12. I found this the hard way when playing Corane after patching the game and not getting new trait as expected. I couldn't find clear explanation for this neither in change logs or civilopedia so I had to delve in to...

Religion: Are you getting spammed with GPPs and Missionaries?

My solution is initerant preachers - I try get it every time even if I don't plan to play "piety" game. Make your religion dominant early and AIs will waste their missionaries and prophets in vain (mostly). Save your prophets for later when AIs have used their cheaper ones and send 3 or so...

Luxury for Luxury trades and the Stupid AI

Seems its okay for devs that AIs constantly pester with useless comments though. Firaxis, please add option to disable useless comments from AIs. A simple notification is enough when AIs who hate me make a friendship agreement. Adding an option to block any diplomacy from specific player could...

    OCC in BNW

How about Marocco? With a little bit luck (and/or few restarts) you can get nice desert city where you can put Petra and spam Kasbah into :). With your trade bonus everyone wants to trade with you - more money for them, more money for you Might try this my next game =)

What is sacrifice the weak ?

Exactly. I used banishment/abandonment as example to show this type of society would not necessarily have to be evil. Ofcourse it can be.. Its not hard to imagine Sheaim creating new pyre zombies or feeding them to demons :)

What is sacrifice the weak ?

I see "sacrifice the weak" as a type of society that abandons its weaker members instead of supporting them thus reducing strain on the society. Newborn babies that look frail/sickly are left to die instead of being raised. Crippled or handicapped people have no place in that society. Old people...

    Help installing FfH 2 please

For me it sounds like the file is corrupted somehow; maybe the download was interrupted and you have only a partial file. Check the file size, if it is less than 373 MB you'll have to download it again. I have windows7 64-bit and I can confirm Civ4 and FFH2 works flawlessly with it. I don't...

How do elves kill stacks without catapults?

Forget the old ways, convert to Ashen Veil and use the ritualists. It may be a gamble, but you just might be able to destroy infernals before AC gets too high

    Remove Research Agreements

I made similar mod for myself that works in G&K. I haven't published it on steam since its so unfinished but here it is incase you still need :) This mod works the same way as the original. It just disables research agreements without removing them (you still see them in the trade). ps...

    Modders Guide to FfH2

I tried to google a bit and all (relevant) I could find was this. I believe that 10-25 + city pop penalty would be a bit too much :). Imo blight is pretty fine now (balance wise). If you aren't prepared for blight, it can hit you pretty hard. Code is obviously bit broken though.

    [MOD] More Naval AI

I'm pretty sure its working as intended. Its been like that for as long as I can remember. Just get one friendly little imp with sanctify to help you with the hellaforming :) Remember, as hyborem those burning sands can be really helpful too.. ;)

    I captured a Great Prophet

They can be useful if that religion has cathedrals, mosques, monasteris or pagodas. Temporarily convert a city and build buildings. Remember to leave some faith for inquisitor (and missionary if needed) when prophet spread times are emptied :). Those buildings stay when city converts back to...

    [MOD] More Naval AI

I took the liberty to fiddle with tech chooser color oddity :) This zip contains updated version of CvTechChooser.py that at least SEEMS to work okay - I can give no guarantees whatsoever as I haven't played a full game yet :p. All it changes are the three occurences of "canEverResearch" blah...

    [MOD] More Naval AI

Ah, I knew it was Bannor. Bannor has its unique civic "crusade" which prevents diplomacy with enemies during war. So no problem there :)

    Communism (Social Policy)

Printing money in those quantities would cause hyperinflation. Multiply all gold costs by number of your cities to take it into account :>

Which EVIL civ would you live under?

    1. Illians. They seem to be the most reasonable of the bunch. It will be cold but you can always put more clothes :) 2. Sheaim. Unless you are unlucky you might actually have pretty decent life. I doubt mages and sorcerers would have that much interest on you (unless you was at the wrong place...

It's okay, admit it . . . who savescums and why?

Hello, my name is kekekeke and I am a savescummer :) Basically my main reasons are: I forgot something (I forget things WAY too often. This can be simple as forget to change civics etc and happily play 20 turns. It may not always be gamebreaking, but it just annoys me too much) stupid...

    [MOD] More Naval AI

Hyborem's whisper seems to be bit broken currently. City does not get "converted" properly and unhappiness remains. As a workaround, I "fixed" this by changing parameters for pPlayer.AcquireCity from "x, False, True" to "x, False, False" in CvSpellInterface for both "spellHyboremsWhisper" and...
