Yes, I have had it happen to me.
Similarly I have clicked and dragged resources into the colony from a wagon or ship to the colony and it disappears as well.
I have found if one is very carefull with where the "drop" is done - all comes as expected. So it may be that the "drop point" is...
I used world builder to make a map of eastern Germany and European Soviet Union in 1941. Placed cities, rail line, resources and units. Basically everything the way it was in June 1941. When I opened mod buddy so that I could formalize the map it said I needed to download some files which I did...
Dalgo's point that there maybe overlapping teritories between two colonies does not sound right to me. If a square is bing worked by another colony - in a farm for instance - you cannot even place a colonist from the other colony in that space.
I agree that when an enemy force (or even not...
Kind of mimics real life where people build there houses under the flight path of an airport and then complain about the noise made by all the planes...
I play Colonization just fine on Windows 7.
Remember also, if for some reason there is some glitch with Civ 4 remember there always is the option to play in compatability mode.
Wow - I can believe a game in 30 minutes either! Otherwise I agree with windfoot that it depends on how much you micromanage your wagons. When I set up my wagon trains on automate a game with a standard map size at normal speed I would say it takes me between 10 and 16 hours of game time.
A...

I voted for John Adams, but it was a hard choice. For my style of play (see the Winston Churchill strategy post) Washington does not help much at all. However I also love Peter Stuyvesant due to starting with a Merchantman as it means you do not have to save up to buy one relatively early in...
I will typically build churches and schools in my feeder towns only after I have built a warehouse, stockade, armory and printing press (in that order). In my main city I wait till after I have a factory level building for all the resources I have readily available in my feeder towns.

Well best wishes for sucess! Your game should be interesting - keep us posted. I did finally post one strategy I have employed often in the Strategy Section.
“We shall fight them on the beaches…” Winston Churchill June 4, 1940.
I have not seen this overall strategy set out on the forum so I thought I would outline it for those that have tried others and may want to try a new one or folks new to the game. I have employed this...
