Is there anyway to convince/influence a civilization to pick your ideology initially? Or can you only force them to switch through your influence?
BTW, I'm also finding Emperor ALOT more difficult w/ the patch.
Peace.
The other civilizations are way too focused on religions. If your fighting their religions spreading into your territory the whole game it is going to be difficult to get enough of YOUR religion into any other civ to actually benefit you with any of those types of founder beliefs.
I can see...
My problem is I play small/standard maps for turn times. It is hard to find even the room to ics beyond 6 cities (this will mean a couple won't even have lux)
Okay, let's bump this thread.
I am now going to speculate that that Axeman is in fact from the same new civ that will have a special resource. That resource is tobacco. The leader is Powhatan, not Tecumseh, or maybe Opchanacanough. I am going to say they will label the civ Algonquins. There...
After surveying this thread, I am thinking it is more likely going to be tobacco linked with Powhatan as leader of a new North American Eastern woodlands civilization.
It sounds like the ideologies are focused more on diplomacy. It sounds like you pick which tenants will help your intended victory or the needs of your civ at the time (happiness/science/gold, etc).
What they should have done is added Louis XIV with the new UA, UI, etc. :crazyeye: Wouldn't it be awesome to have Napoleon fighting Louis XIV. Then they could have a Joan of Arc DLC later on . .
Found this in the shadow of the Greco Great Work screenshot.
My guess is a tourism/culture/gold boost.

If anyone else is finding the site annoying, I've saved the images to my flickr BNW folder linked here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/josiahkeen/sets/72157633069474841/
I am really looking forward to Portuguese exploration and economics.
My guess is that this is a caravanserai pointing to a central asian silk road era civilization perhaps the same as the current feather-in-turban leader shadow.
EDIT: More specifically, Shah Abbas, Safavids, Caravanserai UB/UI
The early Puritans in Mass. were slower to replace their muskets and adopt better technology (flint lock) than some of the tribes they fought against. Research King Philip's War.
Check out his musket . . . armed long before Geronimo.

Really not much new information in this brief interview but seems that ideologies will have quite the impact.
