On the subject of Demographics, the population seems to freeze at 320 millions and if you keep growing it eventually starts over (maybe at 640?). I guess there is no patch that fixes this but it bugs me since I sometime go for "largest emipre ever" as my goal rather than exterminate everyone or...

Never felt the need to look into a saved game before but from the comment above I guess it must possible. Just supposing I'd want to take one of the saved games above and start as the Vikings and maybe change the difficulty setting, can that be done? And if so, how? Would I need some special...

Can't say this was something I noticed when moving from Civ1 to Civ2. On the other hand I really missed to "Big world" feel when going from Civ2 to Civ3/4. It didn't feel like empire building but rather like SimCity for a small county with a couple of towns. So I went back to Civ2.

Yeah, is this normal for Werewolf games on this forum? So far this looks nothing like the small coordinated group (werewolves) against a large uncoordinated group (villagers) and village lynches + wolf hunts that I have seen on other forums.

Strange, I have no problems passing 30. I added 60+ names for some of my favorite civilizations and I never seen that. (2.42 and MGE)

I see AI settlers cleaning up my pollution all the time. Thanks, AI! At least your annoying settlers that walks around my empire can do some good. :) What I never see is AI cities polluting but probably that has to be the case or global warming would occur all the time in the endgame...

Hm, if I use the option for GIF to "save transparant color" the game does start but everything is in distorted colors, evven stuff that isn't in the UNIT.GIF file. There is a text in the file itself that says the last three colors of the palette must be transparant, border, transparant and...

Tried another editor (Irfanview) and made the same changes to the UNIT.GIF. That doesn't work either but now the game just refuse to start with no error messsages whatsoever. :confused:

New computer with Windows 7. Got the MGE and the patch to be able to play Civ 2. Installed my own patch on top of it. Everything works except with MGE the position of the icon for the rebel leader has moved and is now at the bottom right at the UNITS.GIF so all rebels are now lead by a sea...
