    Change the Science Victory

actually mars could be even more difficult to colonize. If the alfa centauri planet is like earth, we would merely have to build a spaceship to go there. of course it would be difficult to build and a long traveling time, but upon arrival, the planet would be fully accessible. The issue with...

    No Persian Civ!?!?!

not necessarily, as we might se more leaders for current civs in the expansions instead. I too am a bit disappointed as the choices leave out those important empires throughout history, to tell of smaller and less impactful civs and leaders. I sorta get the diversity issue, but its meant to...

    First Look: Scythia

it did look like you had to have an encampment for the other one to spawn there, so maybe only if u put an effort into getting the bonus kinda like it, its like the Chinese great wall, and some of the other bonus, where u actually have to do something to get that civ bonus

    Amenity Formula

all this talking about how things influence the tiles around them, ie adjacency, as well as the religious system, makes me think that maybe, its the cities within a certain number of tiles from the luxury that get amenities from a luxury. or at least the ones closest if nothing else.

How will GamePlay change if there is no City Defense?

too true as we saw, even the experienced players where having a hard time at first, so it'll certainly require a bit of adapting

    Players agenda

Sure Leyrann it would be extremely difficult to balance, and would probably work better in MP, where you cant fool eachother like that.

    Welcome New Members

HI is there a locked schedule for the first look videos and when they are published on Civs youtube page?

Which confirmed leaders are you most happy with?

quick question on the abilities of different leaders. So in the US first look video, it sounds like Teddy Roosevelt gives a combat bonus for fighting on own continent to all his units. Is this right, or is it solely for the Rough Rider (it sounds like you can interpret it both ways). Also in...

    Breakdown of Vanillia Playstyle

As Scandinavian, I'd set them as mid game civs, whereas lategame, might be a new one, if they choose to go with Canada or Australia. I think the 3x3x2 system very much makes sense. We already se the Sphinx and the Château have similar attributes as empowered by wonders, as well as both French...

How will GamePlay change if there is no City Defense?

maybe, but there still should be some sort of benefit for war, so you don't fall behind when losing a lot of units. also IRL you took slaves...

France - Catherine de Medici Thread

It does seem like they are making combinations of the different bonus, as the UU for US and France both get combat bonus on own continent. It kinda kills the extra combat bonus modifiers if everyone has them: imagine US, France and China on the same continent, with the French garde and a...

Problem with China's Great Wall in Civ VI

so we don't know, but it does seems like you would have to invest a lot in building the wall (builders cant be that cheap) and the units to defend them, which kinda makes it all useless, as those resources should go to the development of your cities (& wonders). The question is, will it be...

    Players agenda

So I was thinking, with the new agenda system to read and understand the AI movements, we might make a system to have players gain some impact on the AI too. I know we're meant to adapt to the AI, but as a leader, we should be able to impact the world as well. I think this could be done by...

    Modeling Scientific and Cultural Progress

Actually I do think they could just take away the pop boost. Seeing how eureka moments add 30-50% to the tech, the buildings and all should be enough to finish the rest within reasonably the same amount of time as in CiV. On the "empire size matters" debate, I don't think a big empire would...

    Districts time to build

and with expansion comes the defence against the barbs, so yeah, hopefully it will all be greatly balanced, which is what they are still working on. another reason why you really cant put numbers on building cost for different buildings, as they are still trying to balance absolutely everything

    Civilization on a Globe?

IDK, but if it is possible to make a good 3D globe, keeping the strategy of tiles in one way or another, I'd like to play on a globe. Guess they would need a lot more time to set that up right, and balance it and everything, not coming any time soon for Civ

    premature "first game" discussion

I'd probably go for China, I really like the combo's, and combined with the Pyramids, it seems to have a decent chance of getting a good early lead. Aztecs seems to have good combo bonus as well, although you would have to have an aggressive play through. I don't really like to pick random...

I pledge to not buy Civ 6 until it is released

dunno but they did kinda screw up last time, with one of the ciV expansions being sold at discount right after the release, so I might just wait

    New interview with Dennis Shirk

Seems right, those have been the biggest in history. But if we where to take one of the out, id say Germany. don't wanna hit them, but I'd say there in for the wrong reasons. So they made great tanks, but historically it would make more sense to have like Prussia in. They actually won their...
