A lot of people who bought Elemental and therefore got Fallen Enchantress and Legendary Heroes for free are very happy with Stardock, and you can see why. Less happy are the people who bought Fallen Enchantress and saw it get replaced by Legendary Heroes and have to pay for that game.

I have had something related with a station. I had a sleeping orbital laser, and it woke with a message that an enemy unit was in range of my laser. The only thing there, and highlighted when I pressed ranged attack was the station. I had not previously attacked a single station.

Have you uncovered much of the map though? I would guess that the explorers attacking aliens when on auto is related to moving into the fog of war.

I was going to post this as a separate thread but it's a related what-I-feel-is-a-bug: If you put your explorer on auto-explore mode it will attack aliens too. Surely that is not right? It makes the automation of the unit pretty worthless. Also, with the 2 tiles from a nest auto attack thing...

Played a game with no problems but on "exit to desktop" I got a black screen. Tabbed out and discovered the game had crashed, crashing in HsSrv.dll according to the standard screen.

I wouldn't worry about your choice of civ to play at this stage. You're just learning the game, and the differences between the civs are something you will appreciate more when you have learned the game a bit better. For now, play whoever you want!

We get ripped off on games prices fairly often too. On steam we frequently pay an extra 20% for vat and then an extra extra 10-30% for no discernable reason other than the market allows it.

Then the person who records gameplay or screenshots tooltips will feel extra badass, like a spy taking photos of stuff from a filing cabinet in a dark office.
