How to decrease resource scaling to civ count?

I like to play with more than the recommended number of civs, but then there are too many resources on the map, resulting in loads of ubercities with five to six resources each. I would prefer a resource distribution which is closer to the default settings, with a limited number of premium city...

Civ4 Tech Tree Utility (new version)

The Civ4 TTU computes possible and minimal paths for a given tech from the "CIV4TechInfos.xml" file. For the player of Civ4, this data can be useful to plan his research strategy. Also, it could be of some interest to the modder who wishes to analyze the consequences of his changes to the tech...

    +2 health from wheat?

For some reason, this city is getting two health from a wheat resource. (Another city gets only one health from it, as it should be). Is this a bug?

EB Games getting ready to ship Civ4

Somebody posted on Apolyton that EB Games has started processing his order. This seems a bit early for a release on the 26th, doesn't it? Or does the open box icon signify a different meaning?

New preview in german gaming mag Gamestar

Overall, the preview is very positive; their only criticism is the city screen which they found too complex. Here are some points from the preview that I didn't know before: The philosophical trait does not double birth rate for cities but for great people! Also, librarys and universities...

maximum food for city tile in 1.21f

At first glance, I ignored this change in the new patch: "* The maximum food a tile with a city on it can produce has been changed to 2." Now I realized that this means that it is no longer a good idea to place cities on certain resources. Is there a way to change this back as it was before ?

    diplomacy screen problem

I've still got a problem with the diplomacy screen: http://home.arcor-online.de/arne.rossmanith/problem.jpg As you can see, the dialog options are displayed to low on the screen, overlaying and thus disabling the "new", "active" and "clear" buttons. My system: - Win98SE - Geforce...

    can't cancel treaties

The "active" button (which should display a list of the treaties in effect) at the bottom of the diplomacy table is not working. I can click it all day long and nothing happens. :( Any ideas what may be wrong here ?
