The simple truth is that you expect that message to give you up to date accurate information and it is ALWAYS wrong.
I can SEE what is happening from the tourism screen. Even I could write some very simple code that makes a pop up that is correct....... So why is it still ALWAYS wrong?
So, loads of additions and lots of bug fixes and a mature and essentially finished game.
So why when I see "You are culturally dominant over all other civilizations except one. A cultural victory is within your grasp." is the one thing I can be sure of that there are still probably three civs...
OK, you guys are right. I must have hit the wrong thing are I had a four year old on my lap at the time. First time I have ever done that and no wonder I got confused.
Shame though as I was going for a culture win and had had a brilliant start with an early relic and Kandy in the game......
I just started a new game and entered the second era as a Golden Age. Instead of choosing one of four things are normal, the Golden Age options now appear to be cards (like the Dark Age ones).
What happened? Did I miss some update announcement?
If this is correct and you can change these cards...
This just happened when the last French city flipped independent.
I assume it granted the city two of the most powerful units that were available to France, but really......
CIV2 did three things that will always stick out for me (and it is where I first became addicted to the game)
1) Leonado's Workshop - best wonder ever in any CIV game. All your units instantly upgraded and victory more or less assured.
2) Buying a city with spies or diplomats. This was REALLY...
Yeah the base game thing worried me but I am now continuing with my Portugal game no problems.
Whoever thought it was a good idea to update the 2K Launcher - no, it wasn't!
I just turned my computer on and Steam updated. I clicked on Civ 6 and a picture came up of various Civ related things and a loading bar appeared. This seemed to be installing a new update and then it started the game.
Now, I already have the March update installed - I am playing Portugal for...
Just a thought.
Maybe take over the military of the furthest away city state (you would need to get suzerainty first). That would save the long hall of traveling and could get you contact and tourism earlier.....?
Hi Cherenkov!
Excellent work - it really was a God Start wasn't it?
I think the relic made the difference between 74 and 64 - I believe Inquisitive Otter got a relic even earlier in his sub 60 game.
I hadn't thought of buying a relic - that would have really helped. Great idea.
I think the...
I love playing Civ - I have been addicted since Civ 2 and I bought my first ever computer just to play the game.
I can't claim to be an expert though. I normally play on Prince but after watching lots of YouTube videos, mostly by Potato McWhiskey, I have been able to win at Deity with Peter and...
I am also suspicious of all of the numbers for tourism because given the levels that I had, I should have won much earlier. So I suspect missing artifacts that don't count plus some kind of mess up with tourism.
In my game had to wait till rock bands - they worked fine and I won about 6 turns...
Here are some screen shots
This one is great - if I move the Heroic Relic from one Old God Obelisk to an identical one. It's value changes from 10 to 30!
Wow - is this screwed up!
Don't know where to begin but I will try.
1) Relics of the void give either 36 or 12 tourism but moving them can change the level but there seems to be no logic behind this.
2) Empty temples and amphitheaters have "Theming 2/3" or similar messages even though a) they...
