I'm meant to be editing some videos for my mum, but I can't seem to find any (free) software that does the following:
*Rotates the movie (i.e. make from portrait to landscape vice versa)
*Cut of bits when you accidentally filmed for too long
If anyone could point me in the right direction...
I live in Australia and am thinking of buying a laptop (more specifically the ASUS R1F) from the US. So I was wondering if there were any taxes/duty on laptops in the states so that I can get it cheaper (more so that I don't need to pay US tax and Australian tax)

I recently (sp?) downloaded thunderbird 1.5, to organise my email and RSS feeds, and I've run into problems with both
*I currently mainly use hotmail and what ever my uni uses (WebMail). So at the very least I wanted hotmail to work - so I've downloaded the extensions for it...

My brother just got civ4, but when it won't start up - as in he can't get the auto-install to install. He gets an error message "D:\ not win32 application", but he can see the contents of the DVD
Any suggestions?

I got him to follow advice I found for civ2 - copy the DVD to the hard...
I haven't heard anyone else mention this video card on the forums, and so I have no idea if it will actually run civ4. Like many othe people it failed the T&L test - but then I have been hearing things that it may not matter if you have a good processor and amount of ram
