Is there a way to remove the XP limit against barbarians?

i've played a couple of games where the screen would go blank for a split second. this doesnt happen in other games(battle realms, max payne2) so its probably not my system.

im playing an epic game game as the dutch on regent.. im alone on an island and i got an iron resource to pop up. when i got to the industrial age the iron resouce got depleted. in civ3 vanilla someone has said that if you build a city on top of a resouce it will never get depleted. does it...

what are the exact requirements to build a FP? im playing an epic game on regent i have 12 cities plus 1 i got from the americans but i never got the option to build it.

A granary is suppose to halve the food production box but in some of my games it doesnt work. When i build a pyramid or a granary, a granary would show up in the improvement box in all cities but some cities dont get the benefit of it is this a bug or some feature i dont know about?
