Touche :p
Although I was more specifically referring to 1UpT in the context of a Civ 5 game, whose mechanics we do not know. Perhaps it is only one unit type? Perhaps it is strictly one unit? Maybe even one category of unit.
Do all units take damage at once? Do the special abilities of...
I am surprised by the amount of ignorance in this thread.
For one, this hasn't even been confirmed. Complaining about something pre-emptively seems pretty ridiculous and at best childish.
For another, none of us have ever played a game with 1 unit per tile. If this rule is actually true, who...
Of course they're more restrictive, how can anyone not see that? It's the difference between 8 paths and 6. Do you think anyone forgot to notice this?
The advantage of a hexagonal grid isn't that there is more places to move. The advantage is that each place you can move is equidistant to...
I was merely stating that the concern about only having 6 starting city tiles was unfounded, for more or less the very reason you stated. Sorry for the confusion.
Ah, I see. I didn't think he was referring to human players, but human rulers. Yes, I definitely wouldn't want to play against AI designed to think like a human player; I was thinking that these modifications were making AI be intelligent like a real ruler acting in-game would be.

I am definitely not against a cartoony look, but my first impressions of the new art direction was simply awe. It was breathtaking. Definitely a good step; it made all of the new Starcraft 2 Beta art (which I had been impressed immensely by) pale in comparison.
I'm sure this will be balanced. Either production per tile is up x1.5 or units/buildings/pop cost 2/3rds the price. And even if not, all of your enemies would be working under the same reduction as well.
The only major difference would be the number of resources the city would be able to...
I used to be a strong Square-tile person, but over the past years while designing some stuff on my own and looking into it more, I've found that hexes are the far superior movement system.
The biggest seller is the equidistance -- every step you can take from one hex square to another is an...
Hm...after checking witht he registration process, it would seem that you're right. In fact, when signing up, they've completely removed the "age" clause that forums typically have. So I guess that CivFanatics has actively taken a stance against age discrimination during registration.
I...
There is a minimum age, and it's 13. When you signed up, you had to agree that you were 13 or over. This policy of salutary neglect that CivFanatics holds is terrible. I wouldn't mind if there were constructive 12 year old who actually added to the quality of this forum (of which there are)...
Sorry...you shouldn't have to "register" a story here. I should be picking these up myself and adding them automatically. But I'll get to it...I took a break from Civ for a while in lieu of a real life...but those were overrated anyway. So I'm back here now, I think.
What a terrible excuse. One could argue that Happiness and Health complicate the game too much. Seriously, why do we even have them there? I'd rather not have unhappiness on my heels thank you very much.
