I actually haven't tried it, I'm just guessing based on the name of the option that it does what you want. When you setup a game, go to advanced setup, and scroll down on the right. You'll see a checkbox for legendary start.

Already in the game AFAIK. Click on the "Legendary Start" toggle and you should be good to go.

The trade that caused this issue for me was trading the last of a luxury resource (as in it read silver (1) in the trade screen) for a different luxury resource from another civ. I was doing this to get the resource my city wanted for wltkd. After that all sorts of weird trade related issues...

I can confirm this bug. I think it occurs when you trade away the last of your luxury resources. I should have 2 silver and 1 incense, but I know only have 1 ivory from a trade that should have ended. I also think it affected my research agreement trade as I was never granted a tech after it was...

Q6600 2.4Ghz x 4, 6GB RAM, 9600GT I've been running it in DX9 and using the NVIDIA panel to override the anti-aliasing settings. I set AA to 4x and the game looks great in DX9.

Try running it in DX9 and overriding the anti-aliasing settings in the video card setup. Looks just about as good in DX9 to me as it does in DX11 using 4X AA.

Completely agree, I am very impressed with the changes. I have (ashamed to say) played about 10 hours today :blush: and I'm really liking the feel of the game much more so in the first day than I did civ IV.

I really don't think scale is an issue for combat or otherwise. The scale in all the civs has always been way off, from the size of the cities to their apparent proximity to cannons (in previous versions) hitting from hundreds of miles. The new hex based combat is wonderful in my opinion.

I bought Civ 4 in November, quickly realized my computer was a little too slow to play it, but I did play a couple games. It ran ok, pretty jerky animation, and I just didn't get as excited about it. I really think that Civ3 is just a better game.

I still have no idea what it was, but I finally got it to work. After uninstalling, reinstalling, adding the patch, removing the patch, and then adding it again, the upgrade button and the option finally showed up. So, now I just don't touch it again.

Ok, I'll get a save in a few minutes. But even if I don't have enough cash, I should at least get the little notification that says so. When I press U, nothing happens, and also, when I right click on the unit there's no upgrade option.
