I first noticed this problem in a game where I had just constructed the Hanging Gardens. When I built a new city, it would gain the health bonus, but not the population increase - that only happened in existing cities. Okay, I thought it was an intended feature, as it wasn't completely...
I don't mean that the music isn't playing - it's not there. I checked the directory that stores all of the sounds associated with the completion of the building (including Great Wonders) and there isn't a file for it.
Can anyone confirm that such a file exists? Was it just not installed...
Just browsing through the manual, I found some rather strange things in the Resource section.
Pigs are listed as needing a hunting camp to access. Shouldn't that be a pasture?
Deserts are listed as gaining commerce from rivers. (They can't - they become Floodplains.)
Clams, Crabs...
No wonder there's such a rush to found the religions...
In the discussion thread about his last preview, Solver has confirmed that cities which practice the state religion of the civilization that they belong to will experience a 100% increase in the birth rate of Great People.
It's clear...

I'm willing to withhold judgment on how well the changes to the game mechanics actually work and are balanced. But there are a few things about CivIV that I simply don't like and I intend to change as soon as possible.
My changes will probably be as follows:
1) The Romans will become...
GameSpot's preview of the civilizations and their leaders has this to say about Gandhi:
The CivFanatics CivIV Pre-Release Info. section lists Gandhi as being Organized and Creative. What gives? Has the game's structure been changed, or is one of the two sites out-of-date -- and if so...
Looking over the civic chart, I see that we'll have to choose between Representation and Universal Suffrage, as well as Nationhood and Freedom of Speech. Last time I checked, these concepts weren't mutually exclusive. Why are they exclusive states in CivIV?
...are there many reasons not to trade technologies? Previously, selling a technology that granted the ability to construct a particularly potent Great Wonder was a risk -- if they were trying to build another Wonder and were beaten to it, they could switch to the alternate Wonder and gain a...
