I have the D2D 3.13 version of BTS. I downloaded this mod today along with the media pack and the patch "a". As the MOD loads it crashes, this pop up comes up: "Load Error: GFC Error: failed to initialize the primary control theme." This happens when the loader screen reads "...Intite Fonts...

Direct2Drive have their own patch for Warlords, at their website, under the patches link (off to the left, half way down). I can't get it to work, but maybe somebody else can.

I have hard copy of the Civ 4 patched up to 1.74; I got Warlords off of Direct 2 Drive; then downloaded BTS off D2D as well, but that setup could not update Warlords in order to install; so I downloaded the patch off the D2D site. After running that setup, the program crashes shortly after it...

so I've returned them and gone that route. Each copy works for a little while then eventually fails to read altogether.

Yet. I think there's a problem with the CDs/DVDs themselves that renders some drives useless for a variety of reasons. But this thread ought to stay alive until everyone gets their fix :crazyeye: Anyone else still not having any luck with either CDs or DVDs?

I just got an idea...tell me what you think. I have an old CDR drive sitting in an old computer; the drive itself is probably only two years old. And currently I only have the DVD drive in my computer; does any think installing this drive as a Slave in my computer my solve some of the problems?

Not in the past three days it hasn't recognized it; so I haven't had the oppurtunity to do the image thing. And more than that, when I tried using Daemon tools, some of my other games refused to recognize the disc in the CD rom, so I uninstalled those tools and at least got my other games to...

My DVD Drive won't even recognize that the disc exists in the drive. Ugg.

all other CDs work...my DVD-R drive won't even reconginze a disc at all. Blax, Daemon tools whatever, won't work. This is the longest stretch with this disc that it has not worked. This is so frustrating.

I do get it to work sometimes. And then other times it fails to recongize the disc is at all I have NEC DVD-RW drive. I have sd4hide, but this doesn't work either. What bugs me is the inconsitency...it will work three times in a row, then not at all. I've returned the game twice and the...

I do think its combination of DVD player software, XP software, and Civ's copywrite protection software....

I've had more than one (I returned it once already) do this...I've been able to trick my Disc 1 to work everyonce in a while by alternating with other CDs (like Disc 2 works fine), but where it worked has occured just *twice*, once for installation, and once last night where I played for eight...

I updated firmware, etc...maybe it's a bad disc (this would be my second one)...oh well. Manimal does your drives recognize the content on the CD or does it simply say that the CD is empty...mine is doing the latter (but has a fine time with disc 2).

same problems...it won't recognize my disc 1 at all, even though i've already installed (through safe mode) it will recognize disc 2 though (wish it was really the play disc). I've done all the suggestions here...any other ideas...

Someone please help...with my above problem... Just to note, My Computer doesn't recognize the CD (showing it as blank or empty) Also, the CD is recognized in safe mode (though not consistently)..
