I rolled back my drivers from 81.85 and I was able to play for 3 hrs before it crashed, versus about 15 min before. I might try the new account for windows and see if I have any luck.

I have the same thing happen. It usually occures for me when I look at an area of the map controlled by an opponent that borders undiscovered area for me. I am stumped as to what to do and it is very annoying having to reload and revert to the autosave. Intel P4 2.4Ghz XP Pro SP 2 1 gig ram...
