Civ 6 Multiplayer Save Hex Editing

Hello Folks, I've found a few posts, and a few google searches resulting in some information regarding hex editing save files, although most were specific to single player changes. A few friends and I play regularly, and are trying to spice up the gameplay a bit by creating our own game mode...

[R&F] [1.0.0.262] When completing an alliance, clicking the notification shows you the capital (I assume)

As the title says, I completed an alliance, and clicked the notification. It zoomed to a part of the map I haven't explored (which I assume is the capital of the civ that I have the alliance with). Turns out that gives away more info than I should know about that civ. I realize it is probably...

    [R&F] AI Diplomacy Problems

I don't play often, but I've noticed a lot of bugs with diplomacy. For example, Arabia denouncing me for occupying their cities. 1) I did have one city at one point, but they ceded it in peace. They still denounced me several times. 1a) Around the same time, I had reconquered my original city...

    The State of Map Making

Hello Folks, What is the current state of map making for Civ 6? I wanted to create a scenario (which will involve creating a map) and I've been poking around the last few days and not finding much in the way of tools to make maps. The World Builder seems to be one tile at a time editing, which...

    Version Compability

I'm wondering if I have a European Civ 4 version, and I install it here in Canada, and then when BTS comes out, I buy it locally.....will it install on top of the European version? Does anyone have any similar experience with Warlords? I think the patches are the same for both versions (EU...

Add more realism to the meta-game.

What I mean by the title, is to remove artificial gameplay gimmicks which allow you to guage your civ against the AI. This would be especially good in multiplayer. For example, disabling the score display, demographs, victory conditions, and various graphs would allow the human players to...

Writing a website to help manage PBEM/Succession games. Need kind people to test.

If you are impatient, and hate bugs/helping people, then this game isn't for you. I've got a few friends, and looking for one or two more to help me test out a website I wrote for managing succession/PBEM games. The site eliminates the need to email the game to others as you can upload the...

    Mac Civ 4 on Linux

Now that Civ 4 is coming out for Mac, and Mac is based on Unix, and uses Intel processors....it seems possible that the Mac version may be able to run on Linux without too much hassle. Am I way off base here? Has anyone heard any musings about this possibility?

    A Mod Idea...Relative Power

It might be interesting to see a reading of relative power displayed on the score window. If not relative power, at least relative growth. I'll explain the concept as relative growth, because I'm not sure of the factors necessary to have a true relative power calculation. There are four...

    MOD Space Race

I just read this in another thread and I've had the same idea myself... Would it be possible to make the space race more Civ1/2ish where a civ has to survive until the ship lands in order to win? And if the capital is taken, then the ship crashes? This would likely make me turn space race...

    New Game Mode?

For Civ 2 I had a scenario called "Release the Hounds". Basically, I disabled planes and boats, and had 4 or 5 land masses seperated. After 50 turns or so of building, a land bridge would open, connecting all of the masses. Then after 30 turns or so, it would disappear again. Then, 50 turns...

    Playing last night....[nukes]

...and the grand Alliance of the Aztecs, Americans, and Greeks were about to wipe the Mali off the earth. In an attempt to shock and Awe them...5 nukes were dropped, (several at one time) and everyone was blocked. I was thinking about a mod before, but now I'm sure it's a good...

Dual Monitor Support, or at the least Windowed Mode.

It would be nice if Civ 4 had dual monitor support. I know it's probably a tiny market, but it would be a nice touch. By dual monitors I would expect the main screen to have the map, and the other screen(s) to have mini map, city displays, statistics and stuff like that. If no dual monitor...

Starting Late in the Tech Tree

Is there a way I can give all Civs the first two era techs at the start of the game? Or am I going to have to go and delete them all?

    Changing Starting Units

I want to create a MOD that starts with 3 or 4 settlers and workers each. Any way to do it? I see how to do it with the AI, but I need it for regular players too. Thanks

    Limiting Culture Borders

I want to limit the borders of a city growing beyond it's second level. Effectively making the border the city radius and no more. Anyone know of a way to do this?

Looking for some players for a RAR Succession game

Looking for a few good men (or women!) to play a RAR succession game. For those who don't know, everyone in a succession game play so many turns in the same game and usually write a story about their rule. You get to see different tactics and usually get a good story out of it. :) Anyone...

What do people have against Caravans?

I loved caravans. Real trade routes, and transfering food from farming cities to mining cities was the coolest ever. Something Civ 3 REALLY needed! Do people just hate the rushing of wonders?

    You know what is sad...

....my Civ 3 folder is bigger then my windows folder. 2.23 GB Windows is 2.21 GB while Doom3 is 1.73. My Civ 3 folder is 42 times larger then my Civ 2 folder. That's some massive expansion. It has a conquest victory over my hard drive space. :)
