[MOD] ConfigurationTool for Humankind (Change pollution and era requirements)

Hello all! This is not my work, just sharing what I found: https://humankind.mod.io/humankind-configurationtool By Touhma. A mod that let's you change how pollution work and then prerequisite stars required for transcending an era.

[GS] The state of the game, is it speeding through the eras?

Hello, This is an open invitation to a discussion about the state regarding one of the aspects in the game from the perception of a long time Civ-franschise player. If you disagree with my critique you are of course free to do that, but please don't derail the whole premise of the discussion...

[R&F] The (messed up?) pacing of Civilization 6.

Higher difficulties means more productivity in a Civ world, stemming from both AI:s and players. We all know games tend to get shorter and shorter when difficulties go up, the games breeze through the eras. It always bothered me, am I the only one? What's your opinion?

    Fighters cannot deploy from carriers?

I don´t understand how it works. I have one carrier, from which fighters can deploy and thus attack further away. However it seems to be the only one, from the other carriers, no fighters can deploy. What's a bug and what's intended?

Keep losing interest in my games

I like VI in early to midgame but I keep getting bored later on. I have been contemplating this for a while because I cannot understand what makes the difference between Civ V and VI for me. Partly I think I feel like there's a loss of challenge and I don't enjoy games I know I will win. I am...

    Kongo AI runaway

Is anyone else seeing a Kongo becoming a totally superior runaway? Whenever Kongo got a good starting location in my games, they have quickly become the top dog of the game. And not by little, biggest army, four times more culture than second Civ, and two-three times the research of the closest...

    Science vs production balance

The higher the difficulty, the faster the research. We breeze through the eras and it never feels like production is enough. It's been agreed upon that production is the most important commodity in Civ VI but what if the real problem is that the eras progress too fast? The strongest case for an...

    Civilian roadblocks

Enemy civilian units are still not possible to bypass through roads properly. A general or akin can act as a roadblock. One of the most annoying bugs that has been with us the longest. Should have been fixed before G&K. Rant over.

What about 2 Units per Hex or 3 UPH?

I think we can all agree that 1 Unit per Hex system have shown its limitations long ago. Most obvious is the overcrowding of map space and the AI:s consistent failure at tactical combat. We can now stack embarked units with naval, something we could not initially do, but what if we could stack...

    Optimizing turn speed

The game options are too few. I cannot get my turns to flow as I want them too, it's one of these things that was way better in IV. That and unit queue system, but that's off topic. Frankly, I don't care about city-state units fighting barbarians. Nor do I need to see full animation when the...

    Offshore colonization madness

So, the patch made the AI expand offshore... That's great and I don't know if what I'm getting is commonplace but in my game Hiawatha have settled at least 7-8 single-tile islands, pretty much useless cities because A): There are lots of other, better islands. B): Even if some of them contain...

    Heroic Epic and Morale promotion

I need to clear this out once and for all. So it gives +15% combat strength. Does this include ranged combat? Does air units benefit? (can't remember if they recieve promotion even, sea units do)

    Buildo-holics anonymous.

Can't stop friggin' building. I wanna fight epic ancient and medieval wars! Kick some ass! Just another wonder, they are so sweet. How can I do without them? It's not like I don't have an army, I deal with minor civs and so but...I want a real, epic war!!! Am I alone? It goes like this...

    Prophets and holy wars

I normally play as a passive-aggresive builder, my early wars used to be started by the AIs declaring on me. G&K changed it all. I like to found religions, my neighbors like to send Great Prophets into my borders. This is since G&K a very common reason why I declare war. My neighbor in my...

    Diplomacy and City-states

Think of Alex or Harun and your allied city-states in your sphere to get the picture. The "peaceful" civs with lots of gold keep sending spies and buying out opposition for city-states, this could be coupled with interesting game mechanics leading to further intrigues, but currently it is...

    Cannon boat diplomacy?

If I sail up a huge fleet to a city-state or a civ, will they give in for tribute demands?

    The speed of progress

We still have to deal with units and buildings going obsolete way to fast. With that said, I like the reforms of the research agreements and the pacing seems better than vanilla but it's still not perferct. Moving up to immortal brings the Industrial era back to about 17th century. This seems...

    Elimination and diplomacy.

I am under the impression that completely eliminating all cities from a civ gives you more diplo penalty than having a guy who denounce and taunt you. Can you guys confirm or refute this?

Declarations of war and earning warmongerer reputation.

In mostly every game, you have opportunities to wage wars sooner or later. You can take the toll of a rushed attack or you can build up and execute it with minimal losses. From my experience it seems that attacking sooner has the huge benefit of not earning you the warmongerer reputations. Is...

    Civ V needs AWACs!

I was in modern era when Gandhi decided to start decimating my long time trading partner and friend Oda. Insipired by RL events I figured that at least I could stop his airforce so I sent my navy with hangars and fighter jets. This is when I realized how messy it is to keep track on air combat...
