Found a suggestion that this POWERCOLOR R92U-LD3 Radeon 9250 256MB low profile might work; or possibly set fire to the machine; :mischief: it runs very hot.
see this Dell community forum thread with links to suppliers. I have not tried one yet. You dont fancy taking a chance on your machine...
Hi omnimystic
Fraid not so far; but not had time to look into it any further. Suggestions on here not very constructive so far I see. ;)
Will post here If I get a result. There is a lot of stuff on the Dell Community forum about video cards for these models; again not really had time to...
Looks like patches or no I may have to dump the Intel 82865G extreme graphics card I have to get this game working well. (obviously not extreme enough for Civ4).
Any one else looked into cards for the Dell Optiplex GX270. I presume it needs a low profile card.
I have found the following...
Does anyone know which effects do not work as a result of not having TnL support. It is obviously not the rendering of terrain as my Video card (Intel 82865G) does not support T/L but terrain is rendered fine in world builder and indeed in Game Play eventually.
Terrain just does not appear...
I am also very confused. I have an Intel 82865G which appears not to support TL. I get the chesire cat effect but I can see some terrain.
Most of the terrain is black regardless of having been explored, however I can see terrain round the edge of the screen. (and in world builder mode).
I...
Actually old chaps; The British marine is of course as good as a US one any day. However our UU (or the english one in fact as there is a difference) should either be the Convict with which we colonised one of the largest countries in the world (Australia) or the Drug Dealer with which we...
Hi Nellorna; I assume the point is that war weariness is greater when you declare war.
Using a spy will sometimes result in a war; assuming you have spying potential. However I always thought (probably wrongly) that a war declared in response to a spying attempt was blamed on the spying civ...
Thats right; I can eliminate the vikings, which will not be difficult I have already taken about half their territory with little resistance in a recent war. However even then I may not have twice the culture of the Zulus.
Quickest victory is domination I think. I have 75% pop already and 63%...
Cultural now looks the least likely option and I was worrying about triggering it. Will either go for spaceship or Domination; the second would be quickest as the AI have nothing much better than TOW to defend themselves and I have a pile of captured infantry and lots of MA.
May just leave...
Nothing like; the Vikings are close with just short of 160000; I attacked them recently to stop them getting Cultural Victory first. I am way ahead in everything else but only just ahead in culture. I presume your saying that 160000 plus twice nearest opponent is also the requirement? Its not...
Im posting on this forum because I know there are some experts on what exactly triggers victory on this forum.
I have a problem; I have a diety game on a huge map. I am France and its 1918; my score is 10268 and my culture score is 163.066. It is this that has me confused. I assumed I would...
Me too; I get to the train station to go into London and say 'what do you need for right of passage' at the ticket office; no maybe that was a dream; I hope so.
While you get no direct cultural benefit from the Wonder itself; holding on to some does give a cultural benefit. e.g. the Internet gives you a research lab in ever city; two more cultures per turn in every city that did not already have one. Just tested it by building a new city in world where...
I build walls in similar circumstances but SirPleb who offered this advice can acheive higher scores at higher levels than almost anyone else certainly far higher than I can even imagine. :) I think he does this by acheiving early military dominance (among other things) so perhaps he...
I have been playing for years and IIRC had about 4 opportunities to build the Iron Works. The first oddly was in my very first game (must have been CivII) and in Pennsylvania (same as Ijossberir) just a coincidence surely.
However I probably only play about 6-8 games a year; often spend 200...
Nothing wrong with that Rainbow; but perhaps is does help explain the v.low culture. 5th represents quite a late date for temple builds in terms of starting to accumumate culture.
One suggestion if are you are going for aqueducts quite early and there is no immediate threat miss the walls out...
