ImmacuNES II B- Emperor of the Fading Heavens

sorry- yes, i will correct my language.

EDIT: Update is being pushed back. Sorry.

Dain Kawalen Elected Regent

REGENCY FIEFDOMS, ERROVUS SECONDUS: In an unsurprising victory, Dain Kawalen has been elected regent of the known worlds. The final vote was 23 votes for House Klorin, 3 votes for House Remillard and the rest were abstentions.

House Klorin gains 1 popularity.

Imperium Watch Established

REGENCY FIEFDOMS, ERROVUS SECONDUS: With Dain Kawalen’s rise to regent, he immediately begins to implement his vision for the known worlds. One of his visions is the founding of the Imperium Watch, an imperium command similar to that of the Fleet, Garrison or Eye. The Watch will be tasked with implementing the will of the Imperium domestically, punishing those houses who do not adhere to Imperium authority and acting as a sort of Empire-wide police force.

Though some are excited by the creation of the new command, such as House Query in particular, who is to assume command of the office, generally most nobles are apprehensive and many, even amongst both the Church and the Guilds wonder at how the regent can justify rewriting the Empire’s Charter set out by Vladimir Eekin.

Council of Minors Established

REGENCY FIEFDOMS, ERROVUS SECONDUS: In a bid to maintain the support of the houses denied the command of imperium offices, the regency instates a council who’s function is redistribute the wealth of the noble houses to projects they see fit to support. Effectively, every noble house but neither the guilds nor the church sects will be taxed one million firebirds every year and those funds will then become available to the Council to spend as they see fit.

The Houses without imperium positions (but not the church sects or guilds) are expected to vote on the council membership and leadership in 2302. Already Tebryn Arbandi of house Bossheim has begun campaigning, influencing minor nobles and visiting scepter-holders on Errovus Secondus with gifts and diplomatic charm.

Not all are happy with the creation of the new government. Like the Imperium Watch command, the council of minors was never part of the Vladimir Eekin’s charter and some wonder how it is possible that Dain Kawalen can so easily begin to reorganize the vision and mission of the beloved deceased emperor according to his own plans.

House Bossheim noblesse increases by 1.

Charioteers, House Tsedeq Unload Foodstuffs to Errovus Secondus

AUTHORITY SPACEPORT, ERROVUS SECONDUS: Three great hulking freighters arrive from off-world unloading food to the hungry masses of Errovus Secondus. The majority is bought up by ‘The Authority’ for resale to freemen and serfs alike while the occasional noble, such as Tulong Xicier or Belgit’Al, attempt to personally develop distribution networks for their goods.

From Clarke, the Tsedeq freighter brings the wealth of their fisheries and aquaculture (before going on to load Klorin serfs for transport to Hubbard).

Space%20Ship%20Design%20Kronos%27%20Wrath.jpg

The Tsedeq freighter ‘Mammon’ unloads on Errovus Secondus

Also from Clarke the Coachmen 1st Merchant Fleet brings the wealth of the Eekin sea-salad farms, additional fish and aquaculture from the Tsedeq fiefdoms and some small contribution from the Fisher Guild who export their food mostly to Leagueheim - all loaded at the Query orbital spaceport for maximum efficiency. Because the ship can carry more goods than the world can export, the Coachmen are looking to extend their trade contract by picking up additional resources on Clarke or at their waypoint on Incellia.

From Arrakis, the agricultural wealth of the Sanctious ‘Als, Hyppean, and Xicier are also imported. But while the Sanctious’Als are permitted to use the Hyppean spaceport, the Xicier are not, forcing the Coachmen to make an additional landing at a suboptimal location (and consuming much fuel) to load Xicier goods.

When the foodstuffs finally arrive at Errovus Secondus, it seems that local priests and freemen can’t fall over themselves fast enough to thank the houses involved although the houses themselves are enriching themselves mightily by the trade.

Tsedeq gain 12 MF to their treasury. Belgit’Al of house Sanctious’Als loses ‘inexperienced’ trait. Query, Eekin, Sanctious’Als, Hyppean, Xicier, and Tsedeq gain +1 piety on Errovus Secondus. New trade routes (see below) established (income generated is listed therein).

Horse-Mounted Raiders Probe Xicier Defensesp

DAMIETTA, ARRAKIS: Even as house Xicier scrambles to develop alternative plans of export its foodstuffs to Errovus Secondus, an unexpected raid by mounted desert nomads strikes at the south of the fiefdom. The raiders are often armed with ancient and weathered bolt-action rifles or more commonly, bows and sabers. A few carry much heavier modern weapons including assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers. They initially probe the perimeter and manage to pilfer some livestock and foodstuffs, even pillaging a few minor villages but when their raids carry them deeper they are met by the Xicier Great Valley Fortification Belt. Automated drones operating on subterranean rails and coordinated by ancient-era computers firing machine-cannons quickly outflank and rip apart the raiders long before they reach the actual fortresses themselves. Those raiders that survive learn to stay away from these areas and content themselves to strike at the perimeter of the Xicier holdings.

Light-Cavalry.jpg

Desert Raiders Strike at House Xicier

Very soon thereafter, a second raid, presumably by the same tribe but led by a different leadership attempts to strike at the fortifications themselves. The Xicier military does not simply accept these raids without resistance however and quickly mobilizes its forces, tracking the horsemen with their fighters and strafing them mercilessly. Armored columns quickly overrun the galloping raiders and these capture or kill the majority of the raiders. It is unlikely that this particular warlord will ever attempt to strike at the Xicier again.

Xicier lose 1 MF treasury. Great Fortification requires 1 MF in repairs.

Regent Lord Dain Kawalen marries Lady Catherine Naprous

CATHEDRAL OF SAINT CLEARY, ORTHODOX FIEFDOM, ERROVUS SECONDUS: Newly appointed the regent of the Imperium, Lord Dain Kawalen is quick to bounce to his next conquest, his marriage to the dashing young Catherine Naprous of that venerable noble house. The marriage is an ornate affair attended to by many major nobles of Errovus Secondus and administered by none other than Cardinal Quelus Heventi, a considerable honor indeed. Catherine Naprous, now Catherine Naprous Klorin is truly a sight to behold, dressed in a dazzling gown bejeweled in pearls and Hubbard moostone and sporting the most amazing jewelry. Her face is delicately powdered in the finest of ‘House Naprous Brand Cosmetics’ (available now from local merchants near YOU) and all comment on what a stunning figure she cuts.

After the wedding, the newlyweds quickly depart for Incellia and a private honeymoon in the high wintery mountains of the southern Klorin fiefdoms.

House Naprous gains 1 popularity, income increases by 1 MF (cosmetics industry pick-up) and Kathrinn Naprous gains the ‘pregnant’ trait.

House Holy Gate Begins Construction of Massive Cathedral

PALAKKAD, INCELLIA: In early 2301, Michelos Van Hersula lays the fist stone for the new House Holy Gate cathedral commemorating the angel Sabel. The edifice is massive but simple, hewn from rough stone and largely unadorned. By year’s end the massive structure already towers over the surrounding buildings and even most noble’s estates. And it is not yet completed; with every month it grows and grows, truly a behemoth dedication to the Orthodox Order of the Holy Gate.

Using a massive number of laborers and the newest construction techniques, the edifice is scheduled to complete in 2302.

Mission of Mercy Established by Sanctious’Als Amongst Freemen

ERROVUS SECONDUS FREEZONE: As many noble houses scurry to export food and resources to Errovus Secondus for sale to the various freemen starving and sick amongst the ghettos, Ophit’Al takes a different approach. When the Sanctious ‘Als goods arrive aboard the Coachmen’s freighter, instead of selling the figs, oranges, limes, and nuts to the Authority for resale or attempting to establish a distribution network, they establish a charity. There is some difficulty at this point as the shipments arrived appear reduced relative to the shipments sent but the Charioteers assure the Sanctious’Als that all freight was delivered as contracted.

The charity, Missionaria Urbanicum, is meant to bring faith in the Pancreator to the most neglected and neediest of the freemen, those who perhaps have begun to think that the Celestial Light would never shine upon them again. Ophit’Al travels far into the interior of the freemen zone, and while always accompanied by a small contingent of bodyguards, wanders far from where most nobles would dare tread. Amongst the worst of the poverty and hunger, gang violence and vice, she offers her house’s fruit and foodstuffs, prayers, and the teachings of the Church.

Numerous attempts are made to kidnap her person; such a high ranking noble would demand a considerable ransom, but Ophit’Al’s bodyguards are able to handle the situations as they arise. Her continued mercy and benevolence in the face of extreme desperation and poverty quickly gain her a sort of cult following both among freemen and minor clergy of both the Orthodoxy and Blossoms of Mercy.

House Sanctious ‘Als +1 popularity amongst freemen of E2, +1 piety on E2. Ophit’Al gains the ‘beloved of the Blossoms’ trait.

House Klorin Establishes Fiefdom on Hubbard

KLORIN FIEFDOMS, ERROVUS SECONDUS: The Celestial Light shines upon the starving masses of Errovus Secondus when they are given opportunity for a new life far from the ghettos, warlords, violence, disease, and starvation of E2.

Chartering the Tsedeq freighter “Mammon”, Brother Cabil of House Klorin loads 30,000 freemen only too eager to pledge their loyalty and children’s to the Klorin noble house and board the transport specifically equipped by House Tsedeq with live-giving support infrastructure, and prepare for an exodus to mountainous Hubbard.

These join a sizeable group of engineers and specialized builders from Incellia already aboard. With the ‘fleet’ battle group "Nobility of Man" as escort, a gift from Embr, incumbent imperium feet commander, the freighter loaded with newly vassalized serfs jumps to Hubbard.

Arriving at the rough planet, Brother Cabil baptizes the land ‘Klorinheim’. It is a dry harsh land, its surface infertile and dry, its ridges and canyons swept with a constant bitingly cold wind that desiccates and chills the serfs as soon as they set foot outside the freighter.

mountain_art_by_craig_mullins.jpg

Klorinheim, the promised land.

Brother Cabil declares it a holy land but many minor nobles and newly loyal serfs are not so sure. As the engineers begin construction of primitive wells and wind-shelters, it soon becomes apparent that the land cannot feed such a grand population and neither can the provisions brought from Incellia. As the year ends on Holy Errovus, the plight of Klorinheim grows worse. Food stores grow low and the serfs grow restless. The establishment of the fiefdom will require significant expenditures in materials, infrastructure and especially, until it can become self-sufficient, nutrition. And what of protection? Where are the guns? House Bossheim and Kilgore are not too distant. Can their peaceful natures be depended upon? Are their wild animals? Barbarian warlords?

On a positive note, serfs almost immediately report identifying rich veins of Bauxite ore very near the surface.

House Query Declares Intention to Adopt Errovus Secondus Freemen and Establish Off-World Fiefdom

QUERY FIEFDOMS, ERROVUS SECONDUS: The Klorin are not the only noble house who dream of ameliorating the lot of the Errovus Secondus freeman by adopting them and moving them off-world. Gustavus ('Guy') Fye and Ichabod Sterling of House Query have similar aspirations. But whereas House Klorin moved population en masse with limited support, house Query takes the opposite approach, gathering resources, making plans, pre-fabricating shelters that can be assembled on site, manufacturing water-filtration machinery, all before inviting a single freemen to swear loyalty to their house.

As Gustavus begins to gather the needed materials, he also begins construction of a massive secure gate at the edge of their Errovus Secondus estates.

c2-conceptart-grandcentral-620x.jpg

The House Query Gate at E2

One by one, applicants are allowed through its massive security apparatus and one by one a team of doctors, tacticians, and scientists interviews the applicants. One by the one the applicants allowed through the screening process declare their loyalty to House Query in a vassalage ceremony. The process is much slower than that instituted by House Klorin, and much more expensive, but at its completion, nearly 12,000 loyal serfs have been admitted, their skills have been appraised and they have received rudimentary vaccinations. Many times that number are available for call-back.

Query gains 2 biotech and 2 social tech. Guy gains ‘fair administrator’.

Amongst Koriate Fiefdoms, Agricultural Reforms Force Serfs into Cities

CAPPRICIADA, INCELLIA: The year sees the Koriate house invest significantly in the restructuring of farmland throughout the countryside surrounding Cappricidia. Dante Labis effectively angers both nobles and serfs alike by purchasing the agricultural fiefdoms of minor nobles around the house’s capital and consolidating them into a single united farm. As more and more farmlands came under control of the project, minor feudal lords found themselves without titles or fiefdoms, and what is worse, without loyal serfs, for, as the project expands, the economies of scale, as well as the new tools and management practices used, force many serfs from their ancestral homes. Without a lord to lead them and without fields to plow, the liegeless serfs migrate en-masse to the cities in search of work and food.

urbanpoor.jpg

Koriate serfs, knowing only farming their whole lives, are suddenly thrown into the confusion, poverty, violence, disease and unnatural vices of the urban poor.

Serendipitously, the Koriate, under the direction of Ubertino Mercator have begun constructing a series of industrial factories meant to provide jobs and fair pay to the up-rooted serfs. These factories produce cheap mechanized tools such as farming implements and common metal utensils but while a minority have completed, most have yet to truly come on-line and many remain under construction.

While the project is well-funded and promises to net significant financial returns, its immediate effects are almost entirely negative.

Dante Labis gains ‘unpopular with nobility’ and ‘reformist’. Ubertino Mercator gains ‘industrialist’. Koriate lose 4 MF income and 1 noblesse, 1 popularity. Koriate gain 2 social tech.

House Hyppean Expands Agricultural Fiefs

SUSSITA, ARRAKIS: Under the direction of Tenith Erona, House Hyppean also invests in its agricultural production. Unlike the would-be reformist Dante Labis of house Koriate, Tenith is a traditionalist and instead of re-organizing his existing lands, he leads the younger sons of high-ranking nobles and a variety of minor nobles eager to develop their own manors and fiefdoms. Massive construction and reclamation of the southern regions is initiated. The floodplains feeding into the two lakes south-east of their Arrakis fiefdoms are tamed with irrigation and channels. Grain and saplings are planted and soon whole new fiefdoms extend the borders of House Hyppean and the taxes paid by the minor lords back to House Hyppean greatly enrich their coffers. The project is not complete however and is full revenues are not due to be seen until 2302.

House Hyppean +2 MF income, +3 biotech, +1 social. Tenith Erona gains ‘seigneurialist ‘trait.

House Remillard Introduces Chemical Fertilizers and Mechanized Agriculture

NOUVEAU JUBILEE, INCELLIA: Like House Hyppean and House Klorin, the Remillards are also eager to develop their agricultural fiefdoms. Renée-anne Remillard seeks the assistance of the Farmers’ guild of arrakis, travelling there by yacht, purchasing several data-scrolls and speaking with high-ranking guildsmen including several who agree to return with her to the Remillard fiefs in exchange for sizeable financial retainers.

By years end Renée-anne has begun introducing simple mechanical devices and chemical agriculture to the serfs and their immediate feudal lords but either because of their reluctance to endanger their souls by embracing new technology or out of an inability to sympathize with the aloof nobility, they are slow to develop the new techniques and the expected increase in production has yet to develop.

House Remillard gains 2 biotech research points.

Labor Reforms Amongst Remillard Fiefdoms Undercut Productivity and Anger Nobility

REMILLARD FIEFDOMS, ERROVUS SECONDUS: Let it not be said that the elegant romantic figure of Rémi Remillard is not one who loves his people. The energetic patriarch of this house attempts to reform working conditions for his serfs, instituting new regulations and safety precautions, even cutting the work-day from 18 hours (or whatever the vassal lords feel like) to a regulated 12 hours. He also utilizes house funds to buy protective working equipment like hard-hats and reflective vests for a wide number of serfs and installs handrails, fans, cooling systems and other amenities meant to alleviate the suffering of the serfs throughout the house fiefdoms and especially the factories of Errovus Secondus.

Unfortunately, while the reforms certainly bring him the loyalty of the serfs, the nobles are much aggrieved as they see their authority undermined by Remi and his house. Additionally, the reforms greatly reduce productivity, reducing the income of many minor nobles and, in turn, the income of House Remillard.

House Remillard loses 2 MF income, gains 2 social tech, gains 1 popularity and loses 1 noblesse.

House Bossheim Assists Avestites in Fighting Heathenism on Hubbard

OZAROW, HUBBARD: Hubbard is but a single jump from Errovus Secondus but its recent ravages at the talons of the symbiots have left it a forsaken land, a wild frontier and a place of exile and sanctuary for villains and heretics. Alexis Gabella of House Bossheim is eager to prove her house’s loyalty to the Celestial Light and its church and so begins a quiet project of tracking down and apprehending heretics, giving over many to local Avestite deacons for further questioning and ultimately execution.

Marquise_de_Brinvilliers_torture_small.jpg

“On the small trestle, while she was being stretched, she said several times, ‘Pancreator and Saints! you are killing me! And I only spoke the truth.’

“The water was given: she turned and twisted, saying, ‘You are killing me!’

“The water was again given.”

Jungle Beasts Raid Quin Fiefdoms

VADER, ASSIMOV: Catching the ‘Syracusia’ to Assimov, Lady Eireneprone begins a project to screen wild jungle plants for species that might be of commercial or nutritional interests. Agriculture on Assimov is a difficult proposition. The jungles reach for thousands of feet overhead. The underbrush is nearly completely impassable, a sheer wall of often venomous green. In the bush lies death by fang or claw, toxins, digestive ichors or most often, parasite or disease. Great rivers traverse the jungle and these are the only means of gaining its interior. Lady Eirenprone orders these natural corridors explored, her rangers searching for species of plants suitable for use by humans.

jungle.jpg

The road to Vader

The explorers identify several varieties of useful plants. One, perhaps the most promising, grows in long pink-white tendrils hanging from the trees above it and forms large golden globules in bunches just above ground level. At their apex they are covered in giant flowers ten to thirty feet in diameter. The tendrils can be as long as several thousand feet and range from several feet in diameter to mere inches. The globules, each the size of a human’s head, contain a thick resin that is both delicious and apparently nutritious while the tendril themselves make excellent fibers useful for textiles. One man calls them ‘Honey Vine’ and the name seems to stick. Minor nobles of house Quin begin falling over themselves in an effort to build plantations for the plant so as to begin to recover its wealth. From these efforts, ‘Honey Vine’ is found to grow best when the underbrush is mostly cleared away leaving only the great old trees that hold up the canopy and support the weight of the tendrils and flowers. Soon there are several such plantations as the vines are found to grow very quickly.

These actions appear to awaken the vengeance of the jungle however. The Monks of Vader, jungle rangers, begin reporting hearing cries in the dark of night, seeing strange unexplained prints on trees and even catching sight of some quick-moving creature, half snake and half spider moving through the branches.

As the plantations owners begin harvesting the first harvest, the creatures strike. The descend from the high branches, twining a tail, often forty to seventy feet long around branches and vines as they descend like ghosts from the canopy. While their long tails have no limbs, their fore-sections are crowned with twelve long segmented arms like those of a praying mantis, each five to seven feet long. Their mouths are great toothless maws devoid of teeth but surrounded by thick waving suckers. Their initial raids quickly kill hundreds of serfs, their bodies carried away into the jungles. When Lady Eirenprone orders the Monks of Vader to protect the experimental plantations, the rangers soon find themselves the targets of these creatures. Unfortunately, the great beasts thick strangely scaled skin proves very resistant to small arms fire and the rangers soon find themselves reliant upon rocket-propelled grenades and heavier cannons to fight the raiders. The creatures, whom the rangers soon take to calling the ‘Xyall’, prove an adaptive opponent and in their next raid, always from above and by stealth, they approach carrying strange woven cocoons from the jungle interior between their limbs. These they discharge upon the rangers, spewing forth fine delicate tendrils that seem to float through the air. In the air these quickly harden, appearing like thin tendrils of glass hanging between branches or from vines or upon the rangers themselves and though the tendrils appear fine and glass-like, they are harder then ferroceram. Many a ranger finds himself entrapped by the strange material while a Xyall casually slices them open.

Throughout the year, the raids continue, growing in intensity as the rangers take to the jungle to hunt the creatures and they in turn begin striking over a wider range, their tactics and tool-use displaying a frightening intelligence.

There is some good news however. House Quin scientists learn much of biology and applied Assimovian polymers from dropped cocoons and the ‘Honey Vines’.

House Quin Monks of Vader: -2 jungle rangers, +15 biotech, Lady Eireneprone gains ‘scarred by the jungle’.

House Thana Begins Construction of Industrial-Scale Fur Farms

AZRIEL, INCELLIA: Rodwen Thana of House Thana is eager to develop the Thana house’s commercial interests and in 2301 begins construction of large-scale fur-farming fiefdoms. These are intended to raise a variety of animals indigenous to both Holy Errovus and a rare few from Incellia itself.

While some farms are quickly completed and begin exporting their furs immediately, the majority remain incomplete by years end and are expected to finish in 2302.

House Thana +1 MF income.

New Designs:

League IP-III-Class Freighter
Cost: 51 MF
Tech Requirements: 6 physics, 5 biotech, 5 social
Developed In: 2301
Developed By: SOE
Usable By: society of engineers, coachmen, reeves
Weapons: 0
Armor: 1
Celestial Maneuverability: 2
Atmospheric Maneuverability: 1
Sensors: 0
Stealth: 0
Jump: Yes
Land: Land only

Based loosely on the designs of the VK-II-class freighter, the IP-III class responds to a growing demand to move not only large numbers of soldiers from world to world but colonists as well.

The IP-III has a capacity for 50,000 people and due to dedicated life-support engines does not require additional investment in air quality, temperature control or other factors that the VK-II did when used to move people. No doubt the IP-III will become the workhorse of large-scale personnel transport.

The IP-III can, like the VK-II, land on any nearly perfectly level planetary surface of sufficient density including the landing pads of most major fiefdoms and cities, though loading and unloading is much faster at a spaceport obviously.

Some Notes

House Kilgore tried to spend more money than it had so I reduced section 1.2 by 5 and reduced section 1.3 spending to zero.

Also, I lost the orders for Blackbard’s Xicier. Luckily I remembered what he wanted to do but not how much he wanted to spend on each aspect so I will need to edit his stats later on.

Lastly, i need to do the original map for Incellia but the others are done except for changes related to the update. I hope everyone is okay with them?

EDIT: stats are up!

@ House Xicer:

Since you volunteered your cargo onto my chartered ship, and burned its fuel on your poor planning, perhaps you wish to help pay the charter as well? The charioteers do not rent their ships out for free, and we were ... unaware of your eagerness to be part of our trade route. Please contact me if you wish to continue using our freighter.

EDIT: Open mouth, insert foot. Next time, I'll wait for Immac's response before I write diplo  <-- WTH? Stupid christmas smilieys...

i wrote you a PM hbar.

EDIT: and i changed the trade route slightly to reflect the deal you brokered earlier.

Priests of the Branches of the Eskatonic Order associated with House Klorin have approached us with Theoretical plans for Vehicles able to eliminate the threat on Stigmata.

These Relativistic Kill Vehicles, though they will take a while to build, are assured to Remove the Symbiots as a threat to the known worlds.

What is the Imperium Watch?

Edit: Nevermind, found it in the update.

Would anyone mind if I created the Council of Minors social group?

OOC: Loved the update! :')
To Kentharu: It was the suggestion of the new Regent, but given that House Klorin is a major house I think we should let Immac start it, as the chair will rotate; does this seem fair? Also, will all houses be invited or do we need to complete a vote on the first seven representatives first?

Will transport operations begin this year? What sort of routes do you suggest? It seems to us as if the current need for food on E2 has abated and perhaps we can find a more lucrative shipping line to commit to.

Yes, that seems fair to me, I hope it is. Only seven are allowed to vote for the duration of one council's mandate though (I don't know how long it is but I'm gonna go out on a limb and suppose the rotations will be every three years roughly so that it matches the length but not the start and finish of a Regent cycle) as a massive vote including all twelve minors would probably be rather cumbersome. Though I would support a measure that a candidate for the voting council not included in the previous cycle be automatically approved. (I expect a few won't have the time for it anyway so it probably won't mean five cycling in and out each time. Probably almost anyone who wants in will get in.)

Can someone please outline all the responsibilities and purposes of the new governmental bodies? It seems like we are just being railroaded into accepting some of the things the Reagent has created. While I do not mind him just randomly creating stuff, doing so without an explanation doesn't give me any idea as to how to interact with them.

Priests of the Branches of the Eskatonic Order associated with House Klorin have approached us with Theoretical plans for Vehicles able to eliminate the threat on Stigmata.

From the Offices of Archbishop Horles Keter, Order Eskatonic

After speaking with the Archbishop, we find this statement, as far as we are aware, to be inaccurate. This isn't to say that local priests have not spoken to the regent of the 'RKVs' but certainly it is not something the highest echelons of the order ever discussed.

Please, tell us who it was that informed you of these devices so that we might adequately recognize them within our order.

To House Naprous and others,

The freighter is still under construction and should be complete in 2302. The freighter will travel Arrakis, Hubbard, Leagueheim, Incellia, E2, Assimov, E2, and back to Arrakis; a complete tour should be completed every two years. After initial negotiations with 'The Authority', we expect to pay 5 MF every year on average to this guild for the use of their spaceport. It will service all planets except for Clarke which is already adequately serviced by the 1st Merchant Fleet.

We thank all the partners, both public and silent, who made this project possible at a much earlier time-point then we had originally imagined.

Any houses interested in transport on this route are encouraged to contact us privately (just include your interest in your orders and get permission to use the local planetary spaceport if you can).

The freighter is a VK-II -class. It will have a military escort as it is the policy of the Coachmen to never use undefended freighters at this time.

EDIT: also- i cannot create the social group- i am at my max.

The Regent should create and maintain the social group imo.

I'd also like to say that I don't think the Chamber of Minors has enough powers under the suggested system. A budget of, what, 9 gold to spend each turn isn't going to go very far.

So our Highness proposes to remove the Symbiots by blasting Stigmata into a thousand pieces?

Even if the destruction of one of the Imperium's planets (whether occupied by Symbiot or not) were at all justifiable, we would like to know his Highness's plans for theoretical Symbiot invasion.

Would he so happily destroy that unfortunate planet, too?

What happens when we run out of planets?

My Lord, with all due respect, doomsday weaponry is not what we should be seeking, but an increase to the efficiency of our conventional arms.

OOC: he's not the emperor. He is regent until a new emperor can be chosen to replace Vladimir Eekin.

We have not forgotten our agreement.

To The Church, The Guilds, The Nobles of the Imperium,

We Thank All for our election to the Regency of the Imperium, and promise to rule in a manner respectful of the Legacy left to us by the Departed Emperor.

As Such, we would Like to Announce our plan for the eradication of the Symbiot threat on Stigmata. This is something that CANNOT wait, as the Symbiots threaten to overwhelm all the Known worlds.

The worlds given unto us by the Pancreator are His perfect gifts; it is through the worship of the false gods of technology and science that they have come to be corrupted. And yet you seek to desecrate His worlds with heathen weaponry? When I cast my vote for you, I had reservations about your piety, and within mere months of your reign, they have been borne out.

This plan is foolish and short-sighted, and House Sanctious'Als will not support it.

House Naprous would remind that Stigmata currently does not belong as much to the Imperium than it does the Symbiots. As such I choose to voice my support for the Regent's plan to cleanse the planet in fire before it corrupts our very essence!
Despite this Remmilard brings up a point of great importance. I expect this to be a short-term solution as we cannot afford the option of duplicating this strategy on a populated planet, but would need to resort to the tactical warfare of previous Symbiot wars. We would also note that the present Imperial garrison has a large stock of thermonuclear weaponry on site, and Imperial policy on the matter up till now has been more concerned with the survival of man's light under the Pancreator's gaze rather than that of a single planet. Was it not Saint Cleary's expedition that brought down the jumpgate and wrecked havoc on Stigmata, and was this action not blessed by the Church?

PS. On a more pious note, we do not believe the Pancreator cannot be very fond of Stigmata if he even considers it his, to have allowed such a blight to fall upon it. As the symbiots are merely a corruption of his creation (do they have value?) and this planet is infested to its roots, then logically none of it could be considered his. In such an event destruction is warrented. Or if the Orthodoxy rules the planet to not have been fully corrupted and still of his creation then as the greatest sentient creations to roam his suns we will be allowed but cannot be praised for doing such damage to it, but is it not as the avesti say, to cleanse the sinners in fire?

OOC: Ekolite, everyone will contribute to the House of Minors so it'll be a grand total of 17 MF per turn actually (there are 5 major houses and 12 minor ones), the Majors only contribute 1 MF per turn, but that is because they do not get a vote for the Council of Minors. On this note I'm also going to propose IC later that major houses and minor houses on the council all contribute 2 MF each, that way we'll net a grand total of 29 MF and there'll be far more projects possible to work through. (We could also try to get the Imperial Branches and the Church and possibly even the Guilds to donate to this council too, in return for accepting their submissions as to what projects we might consider (though I'm actually fairly sure we'll come to benefit them whether we like it or not)...?)

To Houses with disposable income, from House Naprous
Would any of you be willing to invest with us in a passenger transport? We were informed it would arrive three years later, but apparently designs have gone ahead at a lightning pace, and as such we only have one third of the construction costs available.
