Turn Discussion Thread

I really wish we had paid closer attention to when the cities were being taken because that's when the GA (Miles Davis btw) went missing.

Quat won the music tech race with cdz. They got a GA named Miles Davis. I checked for several turns to see what they would do with it. It sat in there capital for a very long time. Then I stopped logging in to make sure I didn't mess with anything Bulbmuz did when taking the Mav comet cities. Then I logged in after quat lost bubble gum to Mav reclaiming it. It was then that I saw that the GA Miles Davis was gone.

After holding on to the Ga for centuries I don't why they would suddenly give it to Amazon. I was hoping they had dropped him off at bubble gum to settle/bomb there. I thought I posted this issue awhile ago but no one noticed or cared. I find culture bombs to be very annoying and even devestating. I doubt Quat will tell us what happen to it. I just hope that it is gone.

Who's artist is it that's missing?

If you capture a great artist in war, it becomes a worker. So we don't need to worry about Amazon having captured one.
You can't actually capture Great People. If you are at war, when you arrive in the same tile he is, he just vanishes... puff!

Well, or for protection or Amazon just bought it plain and simple.

Q never had been to war with anyone but with M&M and since we can see their units I can only deduce that they transfered it to other civ. I cannot see other solution than Amazon.

Q may not say what happend to it, but we could always ask and try to read beetween the lines of their reply.

I'm starting to think that Amazon has Q and CDZ in their pockets. And they are prepared to jump on us as soon as possible.

If Amazon culture bomb a city near us, it meens war, right?
In that event we can always expose them as hipocrites after trying to play the peacemaker beetween in the Q and CDZ incident, but if these are with Amazon, who will pay attention? M&M? That will be a laugh.

I think your right on Amazon having CDZ and Quat in their pocket.

It occurs to me that were not really getting much use out of Rep, were running only two specialists and that's because of the Great Library, and the happyness bonus doesn't seem to be needed either. I think Universal suffrage would benefit us we have a lot of towns and it seems to me that Rep should be run with Caste System. Our game so far we've avoided using specialists for the most part. None of our cities are even close to their population cap, I just don't see why with the money we can bank that we can buy buildings/units along with whipping.

The artist can be on board of a ship, then we can't see it. btw why should Quat give the Artist to Ama and how did Quat got his GA?

Additional an artist in Comet is waste.

I didn't know the rival-territory-bonus of EI, what is happend if we declare war with the EI, are they also pull out or not? If not we can wait with our ships at landing at Injinya with cannons etc.
We see the Quat army at their land to start also to Mavs isle.

I consider, if we give them Injinya and take gold as nearest to us. The value of Pyra is only poloice state, not bad but perhaps not good enough to make a race with Quat, can you understand my thinking, or is that too bad for our ego.

Alltriia check the Turn tracker thread, you can see our Bode cities there.

I am having trouble finding if and when Quat had a Golden Age, I hope that was what your question was since I explained where the Great Artist came from. If they did then the Great Artist would be the answer I think.

Edit: Okay Quat had there GA in 740, which came after Mav's in 720 AD

heh I thought HUSch was refering to spoke names. :crazyeye:

Why give them a city? the army that they are assemblying, doesn't seem to be anything compared with what we're assembling. What are they going to do? Throw all those rifles and muskets against a city? Do they even know about the catapults, the city stacks?

You guys think there's there any danger that they manage to take a city and keep it?
If the chances are slim, I say we let them do it first, get their asses kicked(shaving part of the Maverik forces in the process) and we'll invade right away before their units heal.

Well if I remember correctly we have from 12 going clockwise Andromeda/Anjen --> Amazon ---> CDZ ---> CDZ/Quat ---> Comet ---> Bode.

I remember someone made a graphic but I don't know how to find it.

Well I think they just may attack before we get there, the idea has merit since I'm sure they would end up falling yet again for Mavericks "abandon city" trick. Quat probably won't even contact us to coordinate anything either.

I don't care about any of the wonders the Mavericks have any more, as Husch said Pyramids is only good to get PS early and we don't need it. I think Universal Sufferage may have more merit then Rep.

Edit: Also new turn is up, just one more turn to Economics.

So, Quat is preparing to invade Mavs.

They're making a big mistake. A lot of rifles and muskets, not a single cannon if i see the screenie correctly.

They will be wiped by Mavs cats. Good to know we can need less cannons. This time i won't propose any collaboration.

Let's them land first and let's avoid to be stacked with them.
Let's go slow 'cause we're in a hurry.

Each one for itself and God for all.

Til last turn Ama gives their EsP to Mer, all other are constant and there is no reason for them to generate points in one turn and diminish them the next against an ally.

You see the Quat GA in the prod-graph-pic; I 've loaded here, there is no other explanation for that.

That and then this:

Oh which I made note in my post, but I'd thought I'd show that Mizar's borders popped so I guess that Amazon settler's going to need to move. It appears like they are trying to get the marble in there own borders. I think they are going to have one sucky Clam desert city.

Now I looked through there GP to see who else was born to them and they got at least one Great General I believe as well, but they can't make GA's and they had to have gotten that golden age with a GA. Events are turned off so that is the only option.
