Okay guys, apparently the trade embargo is off. You can stop dressing up like Romanian Gypsies, Turkish Sheikhs, and little old ladies wearing bonnets.

Apparently, we are once again free to continue trading with the Peoples' Republic of the Kipchak Horde in an open manner.

Once again, I apologise for any inconvenience on your parts. Please note that any costume purchases can be itemized on your monthly expense reports and one of Carlos or Hector will be sure to reimburse you accordingly.

Well, not off, just levied against the wrong nation

Its the Northern Horde who's really embargoed.

That said, there was no way we could stop trade with either nation, it just wasn't allowed to go through the FRR and FRR citizens couldn't participate.

The POTKH (President of the Kipchak Horde) is happy to see this sorted out.

OOC: ..... I agree with AA. 2 billion people dead is hardly enough to force all humanity into enclaves. Heck, 4 billion people won't fit into tiny enclaves. A complete recovery of population may not indicate a complete recovery of Infrastructure, but it does essentially defeat the whole 'rebuild humanity from the plauge' thing. I didn't say tiny enclaves like the ones from fallout with 100 max population. When I meant enclaves I meant massive fortified "cities" in which thanks to the disease no one goes out or in unsupervised. Humanity wasn't reduced and the only thing that kept the population from rebuilding was the fear of spreading the plague. The plague died out because it didn't have where to spread.

Vice President Hightower Arrives in Beijing

James Hightower today arrived in Beijing, China, to meet with Chinese leaders and clarify that it was actually the Gulf Coast's President that got shot at, not the NCR's President Davis. Hightower flew to Beijing on a jet along with his good friend the Chinese Ambassador.

The California Space Agency (CASA) Signed into Law

President Davis signed into law yesterday a bill forming the California Space Agency, or CASA. As Davis himself said, "humanity's future lies in the final frontier." CASA's current project is the proposed Space Elevator. CASA is currently accepting designs for the elevator, and is forming a world contest.

In the meantime, CASA is also planning manned missions to the Moon and Mars.

President Davis arrives in Pensacola

President Davis arrived today to visit the other President Davis in the hospital and give him a gift from the people of California today. President Davis is also making a campaign stop in Pensacola as he announced he will be running for President of the Gulf Coast Republic. The other President Davis was, unsurprisingly, unavailible for comment. smug

What the Hell is That?

There was yet another sighting of the fabled Scorpion over the Sierra Nevada this morning. This picture was taken from a rescue helicopter looking for three missing skiers in Northern California.



A small recreation plane's pilot saw a human walking on his wing while flying over Oregon.



No word yet from authorities on whether these sightings are related to this, caught on camera by an anonymous pedestrian in San Diego.



Or this sighting of a strange looking bike, also in San Diego.



Before he left, President Davis sent a message to all world leaders to report any sightings of people in costumes, people flying, or other things such as these.

As little as we care about the imports from Russia into our land we point out that an embargo for us breaking a treaty made with another county is a little... odd.

The Winter Khan would also like to offer the Tzar an opportunity to travel with him around some of our land so he and his government might be able to tell us apart from our southern brothers.

Scandinavia has been partioned already, and you claimed lands that have been claimed by other countries. If you continue to march into Scandinavia it shall be war.

And Scotland has stated that they stand with us on this point.

Why should I care about how you divided up the land? Why should I care what you have claimed? The area seems much more suited to my country than yours. If you want it perhaps you should talk to me rather than threaten to DoW the wrong country.

So, what is the new deal? If Scotland agrees to it and it does not disproportionately take away from me, I will accept it.

That said, claiming there without common agreement will not be accepted.

The "deal" is pretty much what I have been saying. If he expands further into my SOI, we'll have issues. I am not going to declare on him for his expansion this turn.

Does the Northern Horde recognize the position they are in?
