Is there a mod available (CIV 4 BTS) that pits current super powers in a battle scenario? I am looking for a USA/France/India vs China/Russia/Iran with smaller supporting civs as allies to both sides (preferably England/Germany/Australia/ & Turkey/Venezuela/North Korea respectively) in addition, coalition forces (suggestions?). If there is no mod, can anyone make this? I am not a modder but am a CIV fan and a current affairs junkie. Just thought it would be fun to run a potential real-life scenario for my desktop.

2014 Global treasuries fail, monetary systems collapse and a rush for resources takes the world into a new deadly conflict. Battlefields, Africa & Middle East, Central America & Mexico, Taiwan & Burma. Suggestions???
 
I'd rather go for WW4. Only Barbarian Warriors.

I'm curious what would make you think India would be on the US's side? If it came down to punches being thrown...russia/china/india would most likely all side together, or at least india/russia.

India and the US have a good relationship and the US would want to retain an ally in the area. Besides with Iran as an opponent, Pakistan would surely side with Iran and thus create the need for India to have the US as an ally. Sometimes partnerships are formed out of necessity instead of preference. China and Russia's relationship is tenuous at best, but for the sake of seeing the US weakened, they continue to work together.
 
India and China would never be on the same side
Why did you put France as a superpower ^^? I'm French, but I think the EU would be more appropriate (before it falls apart)

I thought it was funny you had India as a current superpower and the UK and Germany as smaller civs.

Thanks to this post I donwloaded and started a game with Earth 2010, and I'm really liking it so far. There are some new interesting buildings and units, and a lot (32 I think) of present day's civs and leaders.
It's an Earth18 huge map but with even more civs, if you computer can handle it, I recommend it.

^I really enjoy it too, I conquered everything in Asia beside Russia as the PRC and all of Africa, but I couldn't take out Australia because they had a defensive pact with the USA and my army was right outside of South America when the timer ran out.

Cool, which civ did you play?
I'm playing Argentina because that's where I am from, and it's nice to see my country's flag in Civ4 for a change :lol:, but I know I can't win, just playing it for fun now.

I declared on Peru and took that chilean city that is not blocked by the Andes, then several AIs declared on me :crazyeye:
I managed to make peace with everybody and built infra like crazy, actually converting all my 5 cities into :hammers: powerhouses. When I was just starting my new almighty army, there comes Putin and declares on me :mischief: (he is the worst enemy of a lot of AIs)
"Bah", I say, "he is on the other side of the world, so I should be fine." But then he actually brings well-escorted transports! I was able to repel the first invasion attempt, I'll see if I can hold longer.
Defensive pacts are an issue, AIs pursue them actively, blocs really form in this scenario.

I'll try later with some superpower, to see if I can actually manage to win the scenario :king:
 
^China, i.e PRC(People's Republic of China). I had plenty of targets to attack which didn't have nukes(I only had to face India and Pakistan, and I bribed them to war with each other so they wasted most of their nukes on each other, and then I wiped out the rest turn 1 of the invasion), and I had a big military, so I thought it would be better. DP's are what makes this scenario annoying yet fun and realistic, as I should have taken Australia but I didn't want to fight the US too. Also, I think Putin was plotting when I finished, he had this massive stack on my border. After taking out Japan I had to shift that army over there to deter an invasion.
 
I need to make a mod. I'm thinking of a version of a WW3, but using the IOT7 nations. When I release it I'll tell you.

I guess in a
financial sense your spot on, however I was aiming at more of a resource and current affairs situation. besides its hypothetical. having said that, I still believe that a global confrontation would still revolve around those key players

that sounds awesome! friend me so I can check it out when you finish, or maybe even help. I am new to modding but you got to start somewhere
