Simpsons Mafia (Game Thread)

I have provided my entire Role Pm save my personal goal to still try and achieve that and what I believe to be the generic ending included in the pm that Zack provided a few posts above. Visorslash has still proved no evidence other than his word that he is the Reverend. If it is a multiple person role the PM does not hint towards it.

@Earthling -- Why has nothing been revealed about our three prisoners?

A reasonable question, already answered here for those who missed it, so again there's nothing more that's waiting to be revealed about them by the GMs in a public writeup.

As a Simpsons fan, I can't come up with anything that would make there be a good reason for there to be two Reverend Lovejoys.

No, hospitalizing is nonsensical. Jailing lets us know whether BigTin was telling the truth or not.

I doubt the mods would make the game so obvious that all the scum are characters that are commonly seen as antagonists on the show. (i.e. Sideshow Bob, Mr. Burns, Fat Tony, etc.) There are bound to be some typically protagonist characters on the scum roster (i.e. Ned Flanders, Reverend Lovejoy, Lisa, etc..)

I would expect some conversions to go on, such as Krusty being coerced to the Mafia, etc etc. As well as perhaps just some cover roles. But I agree that it can't just all be antagonists.

now it's very near deadline, but it's disappointing the lack of communication with townies. I may hope--though not necessarily expect--that there may well be a "church" group or something. Or that some characters may have knowledge of others, like lenny and carl or flanders and lovejoy, that could be used in the future to confirm claims by a person.

now I'm not keen on a claim of not being able to be nightkilled; the game is large enough to warrant a couple mafia families, and

I'll have to unvote landlubber; vote jail:BigTin just in case there is any hospitalize crowd going on. I'd personally prefer if we would jail paul and let the night decide about whether there is actually two lovejoys or one is lying or not.

I see it as the options being
A: complete waste of time as both are innocent (Somehow); we'd have to go through a process to validate Visorslash that we could already be doing anyways
B: complete waste of time as BigTin is lying and we'll have to eventually spend some time to kill him in jail
C: complete waste of time as Visorslash is lying and we could have determined that through other means; but first we'd have to go through a process to invalidate/validate Visorslash that we could already be doing anyways
D: we get a useful item out of it; not a waste of time.

at least if he is lovejoy I don't really care about jailing somebody who claims a doublevote. That's not too critical for the time being.

Freudian Slip Much?

Today, there was no doubting the serious accusations leveled at members of the town would result in trouble.

Several suspected paulwhoisaghost, but the majority decided that BigTin was a threat to the peace and must be arrested.

He protested that it was a mistake and those misled by sinners would find the truth in the end, but the police had no choice but to take him into custody.



Many citizens were dismayed at the result of knowing who they sent to jail, and some questioned how thorough the police's investigations would really be.

There was no question at all, however, that everyone not prepared for what happened next. Young Maggie Simpson was somehow wielding a pistol, but far from being confused, it looked like she took careful aim. It was an eery scene, full of deja vu for several parties involved. A shot rang out and struck choxorn in the gut...



This shocking event elicited more panic from the crowd.

Chief Wiggum was baffled and stammered out a decision. "We can't just arrest a baby, an accident, you see. I'm sure the best doctors in the land will see to it that Mr. Burns makes a recovery."


After this result with several people hurrying off, it was nevertheless time to make the decision on what the citizens would do for entertainment. In what had been a close call all day, it was decided to attend the Springfield Isotopes baseball game.

That afternoon, the rowdy Springfieldians consumed large amounts of Duff beer in a game of highs and lows. They watched the Isotopes barely win a hard fought contest that fans would talk about for the rest of the year.

Near the end of the game, a more startling revelation was made. The stadium was selling a special new hot dog order and all of a sudden one of the citizens caught on:

"Wait a minute, these are Southwestern ingredients."

"And the wrapper says Albquerque Isotopes!"

The crowd was outraged. The loyal Springfield fans put on such a show in protest that all the 'topes players were heartened by their town's adoration and the higher-ups knew the plan for a move was dead.

Elsewhere, the Mayor of Albuquerque shouted at a subordinate in rage. Then with a dejected sigh, he admitted "That town's got too much spirit."


Summary

Good.

Well.... Visorslash's play only makes sense in two scenarios....

1. Visor wants to be in jail/hospital (he did vote for himself Day 1) Jester?

2. His personal goal had something to do with Reverend Lovejoy being jailed/hospitalized.
