EVENING EIGHTEEN
By late in the afternoon, another large consensus had been built. Red_Spy was suspected by many other citizens.
"You have to be one of the criminals. I can picture that ugly mugshot now."
"You think I'm the threat, huh?" Red_Spy replied to the taunts belligerently. He saw that the mob was geared up for another violent scene, showing no intentions of following legal procedure.
"What are you gonna do, send me to jail? Close down my business? I'm not going to let anything happen to my best customers. I'm staying here."
Despite their dwindling numbers, the crowd still vastly outnumbered their suspect, who was surrounded with nowhere to run. It was not a pleasant fight, with only one possible result.

Again people would go their own ways for the night, waiting to see if they crisis would reach its conclusion.

NIGHT EIGHTEEN
Much of Springfield felt suspenseful, as they were wondering if the passing of another night would reveal they had finally ended this crisis. No doubt citizens wanted to know what other people were up to, and if any criminal threat would present itself.
Fortunately, there were no open attacks and everyone was accounted for in the morning, but nor was there evidence the innocent citizens had wiped out the threats.

In the morning there was another message from a hospital administrator as the town prepared for its usual business at town hall.
"Today we have good news. One of our citizens injured during a recent night will be able to return to business in the town today. Thanks to Springfield Hospital's excellent burn victims unit and innate health factors NinjaCow64 simply made a remarkable recovery."

Why does one play mafia if not for these moments? These are the game-deciding moments. Here is when you figure out who the bad guy is and kill him, or lose the game shortly and he kills you.
You risk all your efforts on this decision, and it's the climax of the game. Risk everything, to win or lose it all.
And here we are. What do we do now?
Well I tell you this much, I'm not going to do a darned thing.
