I agree with Chris, that you should continue as planned, but wait for the others to chime in.

And good judgement on deciding to pause your turnset, AAA

(Edit: never mind )

Yes, its always good judgement to follow the plan, ;)

Good job so far, AAA. You'll be an expert at this stuff in no time. :goodjob:

It is good we can start thinking about what special quirks a game with several Toku's will have and how we can take advantage of those. Time to put our thinking caps on. But I don't see any reason to delay... I'd say you should go ahead and finish to Agri (of course... don't forget to stop worker action when 1t left on agri so he can start farming corn the next turn). Green from me to continue. Good luck and have fun!

............

Still think AH before BW.
Think we will be at war soon, since we will be worst enemies of a whole bunch of Tokunuts. Fast religious VC does not seem feasible. Same for Diplo. Culture versus military VC, I'd say any map can work with Domination/Conquest, but for culture to be competitive it would have to be a very particular map. So I'm thinking plan "A" is :ar15:

regarding Post 301:
:goodjob: learning how to print screen and post images.
I always do it as Trystero described and then use manage attachments options. I haven't made the effort to learn to use an image posting site nor how to put in a spoiler.

Is that Toku's scout stacked with Hammu's scout?

In the previous game, Neil didn't give us either copper or horses in our starting locale. He did put them were we could get to them before we were at war though.
Anyway:
1. green from me to continue to Agriculture
2. leaning toward AH next, since it will be immediately useful for the sheep; but note that BW will be immediately useful for slavery [e.g. if our city was surprised by a barbarian uprising :joke: ]
3. too soon still, but it was pointed out in our post mortem from the last game that some teams planned all their great people right from the start; when we know our long term strategy, we should also develop our GPP (great person plan).

Good question - I don't see a Babylonian flag on the scout in the screenshot. AAA?

I don't think it's too early to start planning wonders and great people production. For wonders, I argue in favor of Oracle. Since we are land locked, it's clear that The Great Lighthouse and The Colossus aren't as useful as they might have been.

Looks like we have enough consensus for AAA to finish the mini-turnset. :goodjob:

Agree with finishing turnset.

Think Rusten's two suggestion make sense:
1. Opine on path forward/VC after Agri make sense.
2. Consider testing the AH v BW as best next tech with more map info. I would be happy to do some BW testing if there is interest.

Difficult to tell from the screens but looks like we may need blocking cities quickly in two directions. So perhaps the test would be quickest to 3 cities???

Did I miss anything? ;) Yes, I'm very anxious for AAA to continue thru Agri. I'm busy tonight but look forward to some testing. At least one thing I'll try is doing Hunting after Agri for the deer and settling N of the gold. BTW, Babylon's UU is the bowman (archer with +50% against melee).

Edit: I'll update the test game as soon as AAA finishes Agri--will try to update Ref and Report pages today.

Rushing seems ill-advised regardless. We have great land available and it's AGG AI.

Bowman argues for a chariot rush, rather than axes, thus animal husbandry before bronze working.

Tokugawa is also Protective, which would further complicate rushes if those Pro Bowmen were in hill cities.

His flag is buried beneath the Toku-Toku scout's flag, they are both on the hill in the NW corner.

I will continue with the exploring turnset:D.
