The Wild Wild West: A Small Mafia Game

END OF NIGHT 6

The mayor called the role. From the outset, they knew it was bad news.

"Jarrema?"

Silence.

The mayor groaned. "And I had thought it was almost over. Well, let's go find his body."

Per usual, the town trekked to Jarrema's house. They found him dead in bed with multiple bullet wounds.

This was almost too much for some of the group. Jarrema had been a very popular townie, and his ideas and theories had been very solid. Obviously, nothing was found that was incriminating, so they concluded that

Spoiler :
Jarrema was Innocent!

"We are so very close, my friends," pleaded the mayor. "We can finish this!"

baby Dave Shack.

5 I'll join this posse.
GO votes for DS
73 But I think I'll vote for that Zack feller. Sendin' messages in code an all.
128 Zack wants to test what? A hypo sumthin'?
163 I'm not sure I trust the whole situation, but it sure looks like NinjaCow is going to hang.
206 I think General Olaf is a better choice right now than GamezRule. And my FoS points in the general direction of folk who were suspicious of the attacks.
250 I'm going to vote: Jarrema for just tossing out a vote with nothing backing it up.
ATPG votes for DS
309 I don't think the pizzaman has been acting like anything but a loyal townie, so my only real choice seems to be to lampshade joining the bandwagon, and then vote: Skwink.

Summary of his contributions. A full reveal and explanation is the only way I'm reversing my vote, mister Shack.

The little helpful reveal yesterday still seemed to be holding back and also seemed to be a reaction to my vote on you. I think I shouldn't have to beat the information out of you, you just seem to be using it as a life-preserver.

Someone so intimately familiar with what's going on better clue me in on it, because it's a shame you were against the JD lynch and late to the Skwink lynch. That makes you seem desperate as a desperado.

OK fine, I'm losing patience anyway. We think j65536d is a godfather, or at least it might not be possible to lynch him. If this is true (and frankly all I have seen on that is the writeup) then a vig is necessary to take him out. You're in luck, we have one of those, but it will take 3 nights on average to do the deed because the vig only has a 1/3 chance. I tried to be coy and elicit a PM from someone saying I'd be protected and it was safe to reveal, but all I got was a "spill the beans" both in thread and via PM. It's me -- I'm a retired lawman with poor night vision that makes it a bit harder to shoot straight.

Now if you want these desperados to take over this town, then go ahead and lynch me. If you want a shot at their leader then leave me alone and watch my back at night.

I think we should try to hang j65536d again and see if one henchman is enough to rescue him.

The answer is no.

One henchman is not enough to prevent the other from rescuing. How do I know this? Perfect information syndrome?

No, it's common sense. If you're designing a game where the Godfather can't die "unless"... what is the "unless"?

  • Both henchmen are dead
  • A henchman is dead

Answer: both henchmen.

Why?

Because it's likely during the course of the game, a henchman dies, then we lynch the godfather. The odds of the "unless" coming into play aren't so good, so why put it into the game if it's not likely to prevent a lynch?

The correct answer is that we have to lynch JD last. We need a desperado dead. The fact that you're voting for JD again in this situation doesn't bode well.

I also don't believe your claim necessarily clears you outright.

Give me the names of everyone you targeted and on which nights throughout the game, please. Otherwise you are risking a critical mislynch.

I'm fully prepared to move onto other targets if you reveal that info. if you don't, then you're full of baloney and must die. Sowwy.

Nobody put pressure votes on DaveShack. I don't need to be scrambling to reverse a failwagon if he comes up with the correct info.

vote: DaveShack

Derp... in school, making last minute vote. :p

I thought you said the opposite...

Yet no unvote... strange.
To echo ATPG, lynching J-D just isn't practical. Dave seems like a much better choice, but I think I'll wait. Unless something else comes up by 2:00 PM tomorrow and/or he manages to provide a decent defense, he'll have my vote.

while j6's men are around they'll protect him.

naturally that means both men have to be gone.

You didn't have to publicly reveal, DaveShack. You could have just continued claiming you had a "contact" even though I pretty much knew you were the vigilante.

And a vote for j6 is a pointless waste of time until we lynch his other minion.

Lynch landlubber. He wants to lynch either the vigilante or the townie who survived his mafia attack, and he wants to wait to vote until the end of the day so he can help swing the lynch in his preferred direction -- he did the exact same thing when he was mafia in the recent mini game.
