LizNES6: Fortune Favors The Brutal

I automatically assume all nations are trading with whatever nations will trade with them. Any bonuses derived from clearly saying 'I'm trading with nation X now' won't really bring any major benefits. I suppose I could toss you ++1 IP for every few nations you can amass, but nothing really worth the effort.

And I mean, I imagine I can update Monday, though it shouldn't take that long. But if you really want me to hold off posting it for a day or so, I can. ;)

EDIT: Nice germanicus. Glad to finally see President Wyatt's face. Who is that?

No. Mexico had a parliament, making it a democracy, and either way, it was a legitimate country. What your saying is like calling England a dictatorship because they have a monarch.

"We can't risk sending an actual agent in, it would be too dangerous."

"Whose idea was this anyway?"

"The Minster for Exterior Affairs. She didn't like the idea that we have a potential powderkeg right next door. They could be doing anything. If they remain stable, then they could try and invade - a useless gesture, sure, but who knows what damage they could do. If they descend into civil war, elements could spill out. It's best we know what's going on."

"What the hell is this?"

"Ah, sir. Didn't you get the memo?

"I only just got it. Now, what's this about sending a journalist in to hostile territory?"

"We need to find out what's going on in Acre. We need the people to care. If we go telling people how evil they are, we are going to meet resistance. Some people might sympathise with them. But if it comes from an outside source..."

"...it plays to human sympathy. Good plan. Who are we sending?"

"Isabela Franco. Mostly because we don't want her in Guyana anytime soon."

"The corruption girl? Good choice. I can't wait to see what we find gentlemen."

Ah, the first story for Brazil. Some things in there will certainly come in handy..

Orders Due Tomorrow

I have 4/17 orders.

Remember, one can post stories, flags and pictures up until the actual posting of the update to receive a bonus.

From: Ireland
To Concerned Parties
CC: France

Are there any suggestions besides ours on how the contested area should be divided for the vote? Along those lines Brittany and Portugal how many troops are you planning on sending to secure the area so we know how many we should send?

From: Ireland
To: Occitania

Are you still planning on adhering to the Spanish proposal?

From: Ireland
To Concerned Parties
CC: Italy

We are prepared to support a similar proposal to the one put in place in France however we may not have enough troops to secure both regions so another peacekeeper may be needed.

OOC: I was planning on just sticking with the modern Irish flag for my nation.

From: Brittany, Portugal
To: Ireland, Concerned Parties

We are sending 3 Regiments each. We don't expect too much resistance, seeing the fairness of the proposal. Also, we were of the understand that the vote would go based off of the classical French provinces.

CC: The German-Civil War

We, of course, would be happy to oversee some of these elections, should Europe come to a decision in regards to the Italian situation.

To:Ireland
From:Occitania

Yes, and we eagerly await the day that France will be united once again, also we agree that voting should go along French province lines.

OOC: Other then Military units, is IP spent on anything?

Nope. Just military. Though it can be lost through political events, war, etc.

With war looming on the horizon of the North American continent, we, the nations who have resolved to stay neutral, must stick together in order to prevent the scourge of war from ravaging our lives. With that said, Quebec announces the creation of the St. Lawrence Alliance, a mutual protection pact between Quebec, Canada, and New England. Should war come to our doorstep, we will respond with great determination and strength. Let us all hope it shall not.

Will Ireland be making good on their words of charity to the Red Crescent or Red Cross organizations this year?

Yes we will, we have set aside 2 Ep from our budget this year for the Red Cross.

"I have never advocated war except as a means of peace."

The nations of Free America do hereby state that from this moment forward, we are in a state of war with California and any and all allies that may wish to wrongfully support it. They have brought this fate upon themselves by not only supporting the evil ideology Hudsonism, but also by violating the rights of sovereign nations, and supporting and funding the massacres of innocents, primarily in Mexico and Sonora.

Alaskan Responses

First of all, our leader is TIM HAULSEE. Ian Haulsee is the name of his dog.

We find it strange how the USC likes to badger countries about interfering in business that isn't theirs to interfere with either, and then proceeds to interfere with and make fun of events that also have no business coming from the mouths of a heathen. Such a barbaric and mindless hypocrite.

We fail to see how that relates to this discussion. Come again fake russians?

In other news, since california has essentially refused the ultimatum as we see it:

From: Ireland
To Naples, Concerned Parties
CC: Italian rebels

We feel that for the sack of fairness in the eyes of the international community it would be best for the elections to be managed by more than one party to insure neutrality, we were thinking that Spain may be able to help coordinate these elections.

From: Quebec
To: Ireland, Naples, etc

We would be willing to serve as overseers of these elections. We are pretty sure the world knows we are neutral when it comes to the affairs on the Italian Peninsula.

From: Quebec
To: Alaska

While it is easily argued that Californians built up to this moment, it is clearly Alaska that pushed the continent over the precipice and into war. This is indisputable. We hope you are happy with yourselves. In our eyes, you are no better than California.

From: Canada, New England
To: Whomever Cares

We acknowledge this Mutual-Defense Pact with Quebec, and hope that the war between 'Free America' and California stays far away from our borders.

From: Naples, Italian Separatists
To: Ireland, Quebec, Europe

We would enjoy having a Quebecois presence felt for the voting and the like.

From: Ireland
To: Concerned Parties

We are fine with having Quebec act as a neutral party in Italy.

Ian Houselee is a fool, and we can only regret his decision to plunge America into war
