Pre-SysNES2: Beta-testing and Submission

So I'm assuming you can't commission a ship design that relies on that tech either then.
I can't find this with search; you can design a ship and build it in the same turn, correct?

Yes.

Was pointing out that it doesn't work for the whole society, only regions that come earlier on the spreadsheet

Oh yeah I see the bug, unfixed cell reference

Hm? What exactly do you mean.

You don't need a designer along to build your own buildings for their refined cost.

Isn't that what designers do?

My guess is that I misread. Designers allow you to build things for their refined cost, as long as you've already refined them. Right Dis?

I’ve been asking about intersystem trade, what about intrasystem trade. No shipping costs? Are we still size-limited by the capacity of the merchant fleet, or can merchant ships make multiple trips back and forth within a system? Examples always make things clearer:
Scenario: Systems A is my home, System B is 1 IS away, I have 40 low-range merchant capacity.
- I trade 40 cargo units within System A. No shipping costs?
- I trade 60 cargo units within System A. Possible?
- I trade 40 cargo units within System A. Then I move over to inter-system trade, and trade 40 cargo units between Systems A and B. Possible?

And more importantly, the only attachment that had Army Designer v12 included is now gone it seems, and the Army Designer is not bundled with v14.

Isn't that what designers do?

Ah I see, that's poorly written on my part. With a designer/engineer in a foreign habitat you can (with permission) build buildings their for their refined cost if you've refined them, or allow the host to build your buildings for their refined cost. They can also build buildings in your habitats on their own if you don't have any pop or an engineering bay ship present. Your pop and engineering bay ships can build your refined buildings without needing a designer or engineer present.

@qoou resources are always abstracted over a system and thus there are no IP shipping costs, indeed there is no explicit IP shipping between inhabited habitats (though it also means raids of any of your inhabited regions will yield some fraction of the systems lootz), just to empty ones.

Alright, maggots! I want rank and file posts! You are to come up with two colors! Primary and Secondary! Like these! You are to describe them like this:

PRIMARY 8E9FA1
SECONDARY FFFFFF

If for some reason you are incapable of describing colors in hex, RGB will suffice! Be precise!

You should also try your hand at coloring your faction symbol! It should probably involve your Primary and Secondary colors and contain not more than four colors because Jesus H. Christ! It can be poorly done as long as it's clear what color goes where! Here is a reference chart! Iggy/Hankish is not on it but he knows what he's doing! Exclamation points! These are in-practice monochrome reflectors, yes, but think of it as visual flair!

Get to it!

Royal Purple #7851a9 as primary and Cyan #00ffff as secondary, because why not.

My faction symbol can be colored in black and white :p.
Edit:
Result of Paint coloring

Spoiler Shoddy coloration :

Cherry #DE3163 for primary.
Bright ube #D19FE8 for secondary.

This is a recommendation for the Quasi, in case Thomas doesn't show up. :<

Most boring and unimaginative award goes to...

Deal with it.

EDIT: *Sigh* I suppose I should explain. In my view the Illosians don't have developed base art, even their ships will be generally left untreated to designs, functionality first. Any design etc will be designed as a graphical overlay. Users can select from a variety of designs (either official or custom made) and 'load them up' so whenever they view the object they see the design they prefer, whether that is just a colour scheme or swirling shapes etc doesn't matter.

Yeah I know, but the reverse doesn't work great for the diamond due to potential background issues, this way the highlights are kept within the white boundary.

I'll have another think about the colours, what are the colours being used for? I thought this was simply about Symphony's map. My other thought was a silver/gray combination.

Right, of course. He is good at graphics...:p

Ok, well how about

Primary C0C0C0
Secondary 0F4F22

or perhaps the other way around, silvers always good to have on a circuit board. I would (ideally) like to have a combination of a transparent/silver on the symbol, but I suppose you can always go for the circuit board look. (green diamond, silver circuits).

Still I liked the idea of a pure diamond with silver circuits...

Heh.

In the commercial calc, a large enough trade bonus difference is all that's needed to push any compete chance to 0. I wouldn't call it a bug; it's working as intended, it makes sense, it can be overcome through tech or a generous trade grant fund, but it's funny.

There actually is a real bug through: the Sucess Cell does not always agree with the % cell. Example that made me notice
Spoiler :

Contesting Data Market

3 math, 3 social, 4 computation
-1 trading bonus, 2 shares
90 e/s grant fund
9 network effect, 120 data centres

vs

4 math, 4 social, 3 computation
4 trading bonus, 1 share
4 network effect, 20 data centres

Success: NO
%: 100
