OptNES: Blueprint Humanity [Map Creation Thread]

I'll be getting in on this, if it's alright. If so, I'll just edit this post with info and other stuff.

OK, but link back to the post when you edit it, otherwise it might get buried. :)

Changed my mind. Instead, necessary stuff goes here!

Czrjweja, god of judgment and (mostly) fair punishment is here [if that's fine, that is]. And for some reason, he wants a small triangular-ish bit of land connecting A7 and B8 in A8, as well as an archipelago of islands in A8.

Will Chr'jweia do? A little easier on the eyes and probably easier to pronounce. Same reason I did a little alteration to Xrykzyx and made him X'ryk'zyx. :)

There's already been orders in A8 this turn, though, so can I suggest sending in different orders?

Edit: Also, the domain kind of is a little too similar to
Aramsaran, God of Fair and Just Rule {Law}
for my liking. There's a list of existing gods on the front page if you want to take a look at what we already have. :)

Mkay then, Chr'jweia will do. I just love stringing together consonants. :) He is the god of balance/equality then. And I would love ocean in H2, but with an Iceland-like island there. When I say that, I mean just floating out there, chilling.

Cheers :) Added Chr'jweia to the front page.

Update 3
Paint on a Blank Canvas

The natives of these lands, having fled to the western isles, learned to expect great changes in the shape of their region. And so it continued. The complexity of humanity and nature brought more and more gods into existence, and all of them changed the very nature of the earth.

On the greatest western isle, a great land bridge formed, and more coasts took shape in all directions. Further east, a great peninsula took shape a second land bridge connecting it to the region's main landmass. Islets formed in the great central bay, and a strip of coast appeared in the eastern sea.

The earth mother Optnes made her works evident in the far north, where three islands in the rough shape of eyes appeared. Had the locals stayed around long enough, this occurrence probably would have been enough to scare them away from the region forever. Atyen the sea god also made his presence felt in the area, with the creation of an island chain just east of the Third Eye Islands.

In the far east, the god of the dead, Verteig, built a rocky coast, in the hope that one day, sailors would be brought to their deaths, and therefore his realm. The area later became known as the Vertean Coast, after its creator, and it remains and still serves its purpose well.

The south coast of the mainland developed a huge tidal area, a place of great beauty and a sanctuary of the goddess Siri. Together with Siri's Island in the northwest and her great lake further north and east, the three landmarks formed a triangle inside which could be found the most fertile land in the region, including the Groves of Chakra found nearly halfway along the line from Siri's Isle to the great tidal beach. Elsewhere, great tracts of land rose from the seas, seemingly randomly but always under the influence of one of the gods, and the gods continued to play their games.

NEXT UPDATE: Tuesday 5 June or whenever orders die down

I have a four day weekend, so this could easily become Monday; so get those orders in pronto! ;)

NOTES:

-If there is a green dot on a tile, it is land.
-If there is a blue dot on a tile, it is sea.
-There is a list on the front page of all the contributors, and which tiles they've edited. These tiles may not be edited again this phase.
-You can only determine land/sea distribution this phase. Next phase is for mountains and stuff.
-If somebody edits a tile this turn, you can't edit it as well. ;)
-I'll be sending out VMs to people who don't post orders or post incorrect ones.

E6
Islands and a continuation of the land bridge, making it thinner and thinner with islands all around. There at the end of E6 it is to connect to big land, that is actually a natural port on it's own.

A9, cape continues till the centre of the tile. Rest is water.

G9 - The land comes up and creates a strait with the land at G8, like the Straits of Gibraltar

Stick some boring bland land in G5 please. :)

Moust, Goddess of violent birth (to whom prayers are sent when a mother dies in child-labor) hah need of a domain.

She found a mountain of a hill placed before time began by the ones that came Before, but have long since died and been forgotten. She spent many long and hard days smashing the path through the mountains, for she could not cross over them. Many long nights she spent cursing to the stars, waiting for sleep to come, but receiving none.

On the 7th day, her creation was complete! The first of her children, as it were... But on the 8th day, she passed, her lifeforce leaving her lips. She sank down, then, and the waters gathered around her, forming the oceans from the tears of passers-by, the salt-water forever licking at the base of the huge monolithic 'Rocks of Mosut'.

Moust is often portrayed as a motherly figure, but is always portrayed as having some monstrous and fatal wound. She is the mother of death, or violent birth.

K8Two peninsulas of land form on the north side of the tile, one in the east and one in the west.

The one in the west is met by a peninsula which emerges from the south side of the tile, creating a rocks of gibraltar type deal. [that is, I want them to be cliff-faces, if at all possible? I'll add mountains later if not.] The landmass (at the foot of the southern peninsula) continues unabated east and west.

The north-eastern peninsula ends in a few small islets, which get pretty close to the southern landmass as well.

Tile J10- Eastern third of a 3-tile island; coastline is very irregular, with a large cove near the southeast.

B9

Several shifting reefs and sandbars surrounding a low atoll.

Long have the waters waged war against land, smashing against it with all her fury.

Long have the land waged war against fire, holding and gripping, and hiding its might deep within its coldness.

Long have fire fought the air, as its twisted emissionaries rise from their flames and darkened the pureness of the clouds.

And long have the air fought the water. They carry and scatter, they rain and they shine.

But together, in an endless fight, they make something more.

The water and land made beaches of immense size and beauty.

The land and fire grew into great volcanoes and united against the encroaching sea.

The flames and air became great lighting strikes and rainbows alike.

While the air and sea drew great waves upon the once-smooth vastness of the oceans.

It is a beautiful world.

A world of conflict.
