Just tested the Faith modifier in V25 as several different Civs. Works just fine with all the features relating to Faith. (Pantheon, great prophet, purchasing units, ect)

the faith increase does work.
Up to the captial city...for the missionary, great prophet...and so on.

2nd city a different story. attachments shown
With the quick work i picked christain through IGE.

This might be a bad idea. See, in Gods and Kings, you can have different religions based on the same one.

In one of my matches, both the AI and I picked Judaism as the base religion. I renamed it, he didn't. I assume we both picked different traits.

So, any missionary created under "Judaism" would run into problems in my game, or in any other game where you have two players who make a religion based on a single one.

That must be a bug with renaming religions, then, assuming you aren't mistaken - you're not supposed to be able to choose the same icon twice. I can't in my game.

Then this is very odd indeed... I'll load back up that game and double check.

I just double checked. My mistake. Thanks for calling me out on that. The AI chose Buddhism, which looked similar enough to Judaism that I mistook one for the other.

So, disregard my earlier suggestions then.

Hello,

I've installed ingame editor 25.2 with Gods & Kings (the old v10 version has been removed and the cache too), and the game works fine until I click on the "MOD" button to try to activate the ingame editor.

Indeed, when I do that, even before I have the time to click on the circle on the right of the line "Ingame editor", my Civ5 crashes.

The detail of the error is :

APPCRASH
CivilizationV.exe
1.0.1.674
4fc5059d
steam_api.dll

I'm using Windows 7 64 bits.

Has someone succeeded to make ingame editor 25.2 work ?
Is there anything special to do to make it work.

---------------- update -----------------------
I've found the solution of my issue : People who have this symptom need to download a fix called "3DMGAME-Sid.Meiers.Civilization.V.v1.0.1.674.Incl.Gods.and.Kings.Crack.Fix1-3DM.7z"
It can be downloaded in several places but I guess I can't really list you the one I used.
Once downloaded, simply extract it in the main directory of the game (erase the older files).
After that, you can use MOD... including the ingame editor v25 that works great !!!
It seems it also solves several others issues... well done guys of 3DMGAME, I owe you one !!! :-)

I was able to just plop it into my folder, check it on, and it worked fine without doing anything special. Can you run the other versions fine, or is it just 25.2?

Thank you very much ujamerstand. Unfortunately, I have bad news. I have been able to *cough* get a hand on G&K right now although Steam is still preventing me to buy it. this allowed me to run some experiments and such... Here is the result...
*drumrolls*

It cannot be fixed.
Congratulations Firaxis.

So, well, I am going to remove the inquisitor, missionary and great prophet from the units list. Instead I will add new free purchase buttons for religious units on the city panel. I may also remove the faith editor from the players' panel since Faith is always fully consumed from what I saw. I would like to hear your opinion on that.

I still have to explore the new API to know what else is possible and what's not. But modding civ5 is kinda depressing those days (a few bugs on modders' faces, one very irritating for us that slow things down), no G&K API listings (slow things down *a lot*), etc...

@Gronnob
It's not an IGE bug, you do use a pirate version of civ5.

Please keep the Faith Editor, if it's not causing too many problems! I, personally, have not had any issues with any part of the Editor you so kindly created.

Holy sites can still produce faith... that from the IGE.
And increasing/decressing the faith still works in the IGE.
Thats the bright side of v24 and 25.

I like the Faith Editor. Faith is only fully consumed by the Pantheon, or a Great Prophet. Not when purchasing units. Please keep it. Well, unless you're going to replace it with something that is somehow better.

Just my two cents.

Yep I was wrong on that point. So, indeed, I won't remove the faith editor.

Now an update, here is a list of what I can and cannot do with the religious stuff:
* Units: Cannot create them. Can only purchase them (possibly for free) in the cities.
* Religions: I can change the holy city and founder of a religion. I can found religions and pantheons. I can add beliefs to a religion, not remove them.
* Cities: I can change the main religion and convert followers from one religion to the other.

And now a list of what I can do with spying and such:
* Nothing.

Hmmm, I wonder... What if...
* I add X faith (does not trigger a great prophet creation but does the total faith ever generated matter? Would it have side effects?)
* Purchase a missionary in the capital for X faith
* Moves it instantly to the wanted destination?

I need to try that.

That'd probably work. I've been doing that, minus the teleportation bit, when I need a religious unit.

Well. Unfortunately the purchase often fail (because of 1upt - messy workaround possible - techs or others). I tried to magically create the unit at the city's plot but it doesn't fix the bug. So I prefer to just ban religious units from the units panel.

I'm getting texture .dds error when I load the mod. I'm not using any other mods, I have the latest patch and I don't have any DLC or the expansion pack. I get the texture error when it's loading the game, I can ignore the error but the textures for the mod isn't there and some of the background is just pink. I also haven't used and other version of the mod, and I am using the latest.

Anyone know how to fix this? (I tried to re install the game but it didn't solve the problem)

Have you tried validating Civ 5 files?

Also, try updating your video card drivers. I had similar problems with Mass Effect, and updating them fixed the problem.

How to fix Steam installation
Steps to follow if you subscribed IGE on Steam but nothing happens or download is corrupted in civ5. Will be linked from the first page and Steam.

  • Mac versions. They do not download mods automatically, use manual installation: FAQ for Civ5 on Mac.
  • Pirate versions. They cannot be used with the Steam workshop, forget it.
  • Update. If you told Steam to not do it automatically, do it now.
  • Check Steam cache integrity. How to check games integrity with Steam
  • Unsubscribe IGE in Steam.
  • Close Steam.
  • Flush cache. Delete the content of the cache folder (My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache)
  • Delete IGE Delete the folder of every IGE version (My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS)
  • Should work now. Start Steam, subscribe, start civ5, go to mods. Download should proceed automatically.

If I disable the mod it work just fine, and there isn't any error according to steam. I deleted the cache, and the errors I get is:

Unable to load texture
[assets\UI\Art\Notihication\NotificationIconsFreeSocialPolicy.dds]

there is 6 of them and all of them is in the Notihication folder, but in the game install dir I only have advisorbuttons.psd, is the files suppose to be there or in a other folder?
