TerraNES: The Civil Experiment

The Divine Emperors of China are

<---------- somewhere over there.

OOC: Damn. Why every time I crush an enemy clan, an other rises. At first, I crushed most of the Japanese clans, then the Ainu came. I made peace with the Japanese clans and kicked the Ainu ass. Then, I made peace with teh Ainu and I destroyed the enemy clans. But the Ainu found the chance to take over the land of the old Japanese clans that opposed me, and now they threaten me.

Will I manage one day to unite Japan?

IC:

From Japan
To Ainu:

We request that you come to our capital to be paid for you help to the Emperor.

The Bloody Throne's victory has neither been spoiled nor delayed. Now is the time to rejoice in our triumphs by drinking and feasting heartily, in preparation to drive the heathens, infidels and barbarians from our land. As always, we shall show no mercy and know no retreat. We shall take a thousand-thousand barbarian slaves and concubines, and we shall cull their miserable people from the Earth thereafter.

We shall make mountains out of their skulls and a sea out of their blood. Death comes to every man.

The victory that we have waited for has come, and we have broken the back of Druidic infidels in the west. Now, we must strike the death knell, and bring them to their knees as we bring their old, bloated order crashing down around them in flame and fire. They will not stop us, they will not halt us, and only fire and the fury of hell for our lost brethren in Ostava and amongst the Iron Lances shall be repaid unto the Armorican scum who have struck them down. Every pound of flesh shall be repaid in turn.

Additionally, Beurtgang brethren, we will soon be drawing up the spit of territories and loot once this war is over and the infidels crushed and ground down under our Imperial boots. We will sned messages when the time comes.

OOC: Great update Terrance, the best one yet that I have seen, I have really enjoyed it quite a bit. Nice to see how it turned out when I thought the NES was dead, but I am glad I stuck around and didn't leave. :)

If I may ask though, when it was mentioned that around 15 spearmen and one Royal Guardsman unit was lost, was that my detachment, or the Ostavan one? If it was mine, we lost a lot of troops right there, almost twenty two units of spearmen alone.

I assume stats aren't done on Egypt :)

Anyway

Exnot the Mighty oversees our lands.

I dunno, for us the Sky is above. If you mean our recent actions, we've profited from the fall of Apulia by taking their trade, although Novaricum is rubbing uglies with us in the Aegean. Also, these strange Dakinsan folks are bring lots of Exotic Goods through Hyak recently; what's that all about?

OOC: Well, you did basically hand Shimane over to them to crush. :p

And so we shall send a representative group of our chiefs.

You'res, including your vassals+Kentus losses. Ostava only had about 8-9 Spearmen. IC

Also: Proactive NPC diplomacy is tomorrow. That is, if you didn't contact it yet and the NPC has ideas with which it wants to contact you about. Feel free to diplo until then.

Ok, I went through and spruced up the Stats a bit. Going to update them to front page in 12 hours, hopefully. So check them please. :)

To Hormun:
Our war debt to you will be payed this turn. Let it be known, An Axumite always pays his debts.
To Dakinsa: We are willing to buy your colonies, name the price.
OOC: Here.

Was going to RP and send orders, but decided to do some (long overdue) work in the Wiki instead. There is some Yi history there now, and I've started work on a page about the Flight of the Jin.

OOC: I like how the faithful are acting so blind. :p This war is far from over.

The Rise of Caedmon
His servant walked into the room. "My lord, your generals are here. They want to discuss the war."
Caedmon then got up from his chair. His armor was on, and his sword Faithbiter was at his hip. "Let us go and see my generals. I already know what they will say, and how to crush their fears." King Caedmon left his chamber and marched down the hall, his training with the unsullied and the Daughters of the Trinity evident in his step. He was new to the throne, and he knew the advantage was his.

He marched into the Feasting hall, and sat at the head of the table his governors were seated at. Before any could begin talking to the king, the king began to speak.

"I know why you are here. You would propose that there is a way out of this situation the previous generation fell into, I am here to tell you that there is no peaceful way out. I am here to announce that we, currently have the upper hand. We have crushed their armies. They have only damaged us, and we have the power to take the fight back into Faithful lands before anything can occur. For the first time since this war began, our armies outnumber theirs. The gods have put their own war into our hands, if we do not succeed, our gods will also not succeed. Come here Dierdre."

A hooded woman walked up with a map. She unfolded it on the table, and suddenly daggers appeared on the map pinning it to the table. "We attack here and here come morning." she stated stabbing more knives into the map. "The Unsullied are already in position. The Faithful, will not reach their otherworld." she pulled the daggers out one by one. "Assemble your forces, our campaign begins now."

Can I join this? I'm thinking sub-saharan empire, like Mali.

Is that okay, or is it too isolated?

It's perfectly fine, as long as you provide decent amount of detail and RP to it so that your currently one-man-region is pretty good. Optical/General Olaf/Chrisos did well with the Xilan area on their own. Southern King did more orders-based RP (which came in the update). Tambien... he needs a bit more, especially concerning his neighbors. :)

Look a few pages back and take a look at Stockholme's proposal. It's been accepted. Do something sorta like that.

Also, remember in Updates 0-2 there are some Subsaharan tribes in the region, so a sorta of "while we're not looking" timelapse/timeline would be cool too.

to levantine league:
Sky's up for you? You sure?

Can't see how the ground's up, if that's what you Egyptians believe.

to Levantine League:
I'm just messing with ya. You see, when you are as powerful as Egypt you can tell others the ground's up and tell them to believe that ;)
Anyway. Just kidding. Moving along.
