Six-Months War; Take 4

France will abide by the restrictions and hope that they will be canceled soon out of trust of our nation.

The Aleyskan Republic does not recognize the treaty's right to give the former Russian territory of Alaska to the U.S. We are our own country and will be treated as such.

To: La Republique Indépendant du Québec

We would be happy to make an alliance with you and foster cooperation between our two new nations.

To: The United States

We will sign a defensive alliance with you and allow you to station troops within our borders. We see no need of a offensive alliance as we do not wish to be dragged into a war we don't want nor can we offer you much in the way of assistance if a foreign war were to break out.

Greece is here.

I'm fairly sure I have answered any and all questions or diplomacy to me or NPCs. And I have updated the front page with the new varying alliances. I didn't include Germany's signature on the Brussels-Berlin pact yet.. mostly because they haven't signed. :3

Just as a heads up, I'm going to be gone until around 12:30 AM, 1:00 AM tonight (new job, gotta do what I gotta do), so if I'm slow responding to diplomacy, that is why. Orders are still due by Monday, and I have only received two sets so far. So if you have any questions to ask me, stories you want to post for a (small) bonus, or other diplo to handle, get it done soon!

Treaty of Muscat

1. The United Kingdom and the nations of Saudi Arabia and Persia agree to a defensive alliance between themselves, whereby if any party declares war on one of the signatories, all the other signatories will declare war and exert themselves against that party.

2. The United Kingdom and the nations of Saudi Arabia and Persia agree to an economic alliance, whereby the facilitation of imports and exports between the signatories will be encouraged, the signatories will be granted easy access and low harbour-dues in each other's ports, and tariffs on goods will be generally reduced.

Signed King Richard IV, H.H. Asquith, Taimur bin Feisal of Oman, etc., etc.

Signed, Ibn Saud, Sultan of Nejd and King of the Arabs

Brussels-Berlin Pact

The Commonwealth of Belgium and the German Empire, with the mutual interests of trade, diplomacy and the balance of power, declare the following articles:

I. The mutual guarantee of all current Belgian-German borders, both on the Continent and abroad, forever more unless altered peacefully through consultation.

II. A defensive alliance, for any colonial or continental disputes involving an offensive invasion on German or Belgian territory.

III. Economic assistance for redeveloping Belgian industry, and future tariff reductions by both Belgium and Germany.

Signed, Kaiser Wilhelm II

Germany is glad that Greece has approached her in the spirit of friendship. Considering the strong ties that bond the German and Greek royal families, we would be pleased to accept a defensive alliance with Greece.

To: Italy
From: Germany

We in Germany remember fondly the days of the Quadruple Alliance, and regret the circumstances that lead to the breaking of political bonds between us and Italy in the aftermath of the Great War. In the hopes of restoring this friendship, we agree to mutually lower tariffs on trade and a non-aggression pact. Furthermore, we look forward to cooperating with Italy to maintain peace and prosperity in the Balkans, and the whole Mediterranean for that matter.

To: Spain
From: Germany

Germany does not forget Spain's friendship and part in the Great War. Indeed, we still consider the Madrid-Berlin Pact to be in effect. As such, we see no need for any non-aggression pact. However, the recent upheaval in Spain's government, as well as the invasion of Ethiopia (though justified), has us in Germany worried. We hope to see the return of Spain to the peace and stability befitting a world power, and to continue collaboration with them on the world stage.

OOC: Yeah, the part of the Treaty of Paris concerning Russia has been moot for a while.

We thank you for accepting a defensive alliance. May our two nations have peace and friendship.

This is great to hear. Celebrations will be held in Rome.

We can agree to this. Occupied Alayeska will be transferred to your control this year.

This is excellent news. Generalissimo Estardo seeks to assure the government in the Reichstag that his regime has no ill intentions towards either the cause of democracy in Spain (and the world) or the German nation and people. Indeed, Generalissimo Estardo believes that friendship and cooperation with Germany is essential for the betterment of Spain and Europe. We look forward to many more years of peace.

I was just checking over the map and I noticed that I apparently control a few island chains in Oceania. From what I can tell based off the NES map and this map, I control all the islands in Melanesia except New Guinea and the Bismark Archipelago, and also some islands in Polynesia, likely the Cook Islands (much of Polynesia is missing in our map).

All that said, none of them appear to be in my colonial stats. Could you please include "Japanese Melanesia" and "Japanese Polynesia" in my stats?

edit: A quick look at the Treaty of Tokyo shows that I should own all of French Polynesia, which is quite expansive (and thus worth a couple EP) even if it's not well represented on the map.

Somebody really ought to draw up a map of the Pacific showing who owns what, because it looks a bit vague and I want to make sure. I'll get to it, I think.

ED: A map of the World, with the Pacific Ocean in colour. Yellow is Japan, Grey is Germany, Blue is the USA, Red is New Zealand, Pink is the Andean Republic.

Please correct me if I did something wrong, because I can't tell whether a lot of the islands in Micronesia are German or Japanese. Really, I just did this for fun. :p

I'll add it, but I don't see the relationship between size and economic worth. They aren't very developed, and have fallen into relative disrepair since the Japanese takeover. Count yourself in for 5 extra EP, the stats after the update will have the colonial names.

And GK that seems about right.

Now that it's Sunday, this is a 24 Hour Warning to get any orders and stories in (if you want a small bonus.) So far I have 5 of the first, and 0 of the latter.

To: Anyone Whom It May Concern
CC: Arabia, Persia

Henceforth the following is agreed upon between the nations of the Kingdom of Spain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Persia, to be known as the Treaty of Riyadh signed by those nations' sovereign representatives in the Year of Our Lord 1922.

1. The Kingdom of Spain and the Kingdoms of Saudi Arabia and Persia shall enter a defensive alliance within the Middle Eastern sphere, for the purpose of promoting peace, stability and the status quo. This alliance shall be restricted as is implied to the Middle East, and shall in no way obligate the parties to military action for each other outside of the Middle East unless they choose to do so of their own accord.

2. The Kingdom of Spain and the Kingdoms of Saudi Arabia and Persia shall enter an economic and trade compact with the purpose of promoting the freedom of trade and business between the three nations, and Spanish businesses and the Spanish governments' acknowledged rights to operate oil wells, derricks and other drilling facilities in both Saudi Arabia and Persia shall be enshrined by international agreement and law. All such Spanish economic activity inside Saudi Arabia and Persia shall fall under the regulation and supervision of those nations' governments.

3. The Kingdom of Spain and the Kingdoms of Saudi Arabia and Persia accord henceforth to combat the menace of international communism wherever it may rear its head, and regard this treaty as advancing those goals.

4. All three parties regard the above compact, the Treaty of Riyadh, as a means of advancing the greater peace and stability and shall undertake to use all the means they have been provided in this document to produce that goal.

Signed, Generalissimo Estardo of Spain on behalf of the National Senate
