Sorry, yes the spy got detected in between t157 & t158.

I whipped the Mace in Wheat, but as there are 2 Chariots, I can't attack this turn.

Brennus longbows won't be a big problem, the trebs got very good odds on them.

Nearly all of our losses came from the Vermalion stack.
From the Bibracte stack we only lost the 2 suicide cats (who did a great job against the LB)
We lost nothing from the Tolosa stack iirc

edit2: we traded for both Dye & furs as well, so our cities are crazy happy, even the ones that have been whipped 6 times in 12 turns.

@Neil, the match is great isn't it? :) I'm not following it to the last bat but I do have my eye on it :) Although test matches don't interest me that much, I prefer ODI's :) 20-20's are tense and action packed, but also have a big luck factor (relative terms) :)

Defintiely glad we went for Engineering, and glad we didn't delay the attack, even by 1 more turn, as we would have faced more LB's

So Revent, you are converted into an English cricket lover :), glad to hear it. Yo have to raised on cricket to like test matches, and even then a lot of people find it too boring. I like to think of it as a great sport to have on tv/radio while you are doing something else. If something happens the commentators get all excitied and then show 10 replays anyway. :D
 
What are everyones thoughts regarding Universities vs more units?

I think we could do with some more trebs, and that we probably have enough clean up units.

We have:
- 13 Maces
- 6 X-bows
- 8 Trebs
- 3 Cats
- 2 Pikes

edit: btw, our GG has appeared in Commerce.

I think this is true of most sports, :lol:. Spoken as somebody who watches a lot of football and a lot of baseball. I've found basketball requires constant watching. But I prefer to just watch the last ten minutes. Because if the first 30 minutes were close, then only the last 10 minutes matter anyway. And if one team has run away with it, then I didn't waste any time watching the game, :lol:.

Printing Press sounds good to me.

I'm a little unsure of the builds though. Forges and Universities are good, but I hope to see many more units in the upcoming PPP, I don't think we have quite enough yet. Especially if we're hoping to take out Ramesses as well.

Yay crossposts. I'd prefer more units. Although, we can regroup before taking out Ramesses and re-asses the situation.
 
Delaying would also mean we'd probably have more units. I don't know how he got Feud so quickly though! Perhaps the AI's behaviour changes when researching a high priority tech? For example, they may put the slider up? :) Don't know but it's a bit of a surprise. Also, I think getting Feudalism before Brennus was a mistake because that makes it cheaper for him to research it!

However, I'm not convinced my plan would fail yet ;) Trebs eat longbows for breakfast after all :D So all I would need to do is research Eng as well :p

As for cricket, I've loved it since I was 9-10 and I used to live in NYC then! People thought I was nuts when I said cricket because they never heard of it and thought I was talking about a weird style of baseball :lol:
