SGOTM 16 - Plastic Ducks

You can send the chariot to scout the undiscovered area SE of the sugar city, I actually suggested this movement in sossos's session.

If you are clear on everything, I don't have more suggestions, which means you can play anytime when you are ready.:D

Try to record your move in the real game in order to produce a test save. The major usage of test game now is to help to have a general view of how to control the production in every city, so only food and hammers in cities matter. I guess it might be the last one we need.

BTW, what I suggested in Poit is to let worker chop a forest before improving the sugar.

We might wait with chop in Poitiers because I have a plan of producing one more Missionary in Chartres. It can unload missionary when it lands to pick up forces for island barb city. Actually, it seems it is better to have faster LH.
Poitiers Chariot will go a bit SE and return to barb city.

BTW, there is simple reserve option for failed Buddhist missionary. 11 :hammers: in catapult and then whip. T143 MoM is there if we get Calendar on T135 and no one gets it before us. Now gonna try to save some food in Orl and that's it.

My second pair of guests today will come soon so I'll be able to play later in the evening. Some more green lights would be fine until then. I'll manually save at the end of every turn so it will be possible to make accurate test game. Provided we are allowed to load game from past turns.

It's also possible that we can have Calendar on T134, at least that's what I observed before I stole the IW.

Faster gra is always better than faster LH. you can either whip or chop it.

That'd be nice. Then we can have it T142, theoretically. Doesn't change much. Maybe Buddhist Monastery OF will come late. In that case I'll take catapult. Will test to be prepared.

What I meant was that granary will be whipped in Poitiers and then LH will have chop in it and 1 pop whipped too. Better then wait for size 4 to whip. Actually, whip will probably not be necessary since Poitiers has base production of 5:hammers:.

:)
Sorry, what I was trying to ask was whether you'd simply play with suggestions or write a revised PPP/do an extra test.

As far as I'm concerned, we've covered most everything. Chop is good. :goodjob:

I'd rather play with suggestions. There are still things that can happen outside of our power of influence and then all PPP is good for nothing (while it still takes a lot of RL time to write with so many cities and turns). Also, many things are clear and understood.

I'll provide another test for approval and also give some opportunity to others to have their say in this turn set and then play.

Just a remark on my side:

Jewish shrine has not been built by 450 AD. Hence I would suggest to keep breeding the GProphet in Paris. 30 turns to get, which synchronizes rather well with our attack on Brennus.

Edit: I realize from Shaka's test game that Paris GP is still the next to arrive so I'm good :goodjob:

Do we want 60 for Alpha from Bren?

^ Not before we attempt to trade for calendar I guess.

I am playing actually. Opportunity gone. Weird stuff happening.

We have traded Calendar. Threatened barb city (sugar) sent 2 of 3 Archers out. One attacked Warrior securing worker. We won at 46% odds.

I am going to wait a bit for more opinions (new opportunity).
Problem is that Bren has many cities now and more on the way. If we don't sell him alpha, we'll stone age him. If he starts building research, he might get somewhere.

That's good, we only need less units to take the city, watch for Brennus's troops. If Alpha is worth 60g, go for it. Guess you got Calendar from Ram.

Ramesses asks for Currency.

I say f-off Ramesses.

Thoughts?

Grant him, we will likely convert to Chris in the future and he has some unique techs. Even without Currency, his research rate is good enough to get either LB or xbow before we attack him.

Yes, we will kill him eventually, but it's not bad to get some techs before we attack him. ~30 turns from now. We can't get everything from war.

Short sighted I am sometimes.

He is Pleased now.

That is it. Game submitted. Test game from sossos didn't match at some points but it's a long game now. I'll have trouble recreating all the steps too.
Don't have energy to do any more work like screenshots or test save.
