SGOTM 16 - Plastic Ducks

I'm here, but am reading a book now. You could upload the save for kossin to do a quick estimation. The 1st important thing is how much beaker output with 100% slider.

Edit: Since we already have enough cash and can research Economics, we could start 100% slider now even before OU, we lose ~200B from OU and monasteries, but gain 1 turn earlier of Sushi. Worth?
 
Now 1775 bpt. Next turn Paris works towns instead of mines and many cities grow. OU will give 119 bpt next turn.
We are losing 539 gold but many grocers and markets will be online. Let me count the benefit.

Edit: Lol, 100% slider. No benefit from grocer. :facepalm:

3 cities will be captured. That is at least 450 gold.
 
Cash is not a problem, the average bpt will be ~2000 as I estimated earlier. The question now is whether we want to push to Medicine immediately.
 
No problem with that. Earlier Sushi is good Sushi.

Quick draft, it works in 8 turns, but we have to tweak micro in cities to get Economics in 1 turn [without OU it's 2 turns]. (I've removed quite a bit of research to account for loss of Monasteries and GLH).

100% slider
Econ (1 turn ... should be about 1820 beakers with altered micro)
Const (1 turn)
SM (1 turn partial, should be ~400 beakers missing)
Corp (2 turns)
SM (+1 turn = 2)
Biology (1 turn)
Lib (1 turn)

8 turns

We're actually not so far from 7 turns, I'll see if I can get it to work.

EDIT: for 7 turns, it's very sketchy, we'd need to average 2370 b/t for turns 4-5-6. But it's 1t earlier Biology+Sushi...
 
Another important thing need to be considered is how to send those galleons since we need them to be in position for invading SB or Qin. Any news on SM?
 
Microed 1851 bpt. In case Qin goes Mercantilism on us.

No Spiral Minaret yet. I am still using galleons to ship units to Akkad. After I conquer Babylon, I'll have to give my place to kossin. Have some work to do next 7-8 days.
 
Those galleons needs to be sent to the position now to save turns. If we attack Qin next, we are going just to take his core cities (Beijing and Shanghai) and cap him as soon as possible. So how to send those galleons is your work now, not kossin's.

They only need 14 turns to get there (west of Sippar)... Surprisingly, they save turns even in that case. We'll have time to send reinforcements.

We have 13 galleons 13 cannons, 12 maces, 10 muskets. Some will day. I intend resume production of cannons in Tolosa and no military from anywhere else. Maybe one or two more galleons from Poitiers.

Edit: Ok, I proceed. It can probably happen with mass hiring of scientists, but is it worth it? I think not.
 
Let's assume ~50 specialists for 3 turns across 25 cities. 4~6F loss per city + bunch of hammers and commerce.
1T early of Sushi everywhere is 9~11F. Biology worth 0~5F everywhere as well.

Agree, it's not worth it to micro into 7t.

Our bpt is higher than expected. It is now 2093. Maybe we can make those 7 turns easily, without much sacrifice... Have a look at the real game.

I'll leave the save. I have made some errors. People should be sleeping and I am awake and won't sleep at all cause I need to go soon. Grrr.

Egypt can be invaded but I am undecided. Didn't have luck in fights + was stupid and sleep deprived.

I was a bit easier with the whip since some cities have some serious anger.




There is more seafood in the south.:)

Yep I agree. Friday evening after work I'll take a good sitting to review thoroughly the situation and start planning ahead. At this point, some mistakes can cost turns as well.

I think we can achieve the 7t plan to Sushi after all. With only minor micro, I bumped it up to 2121 (food focus, tile exchanges between cities). A few research buildings will complete and new cities founded. Growth and a few things as well. FM+GLH will be in effect for 2 turns, loss of GLH is hard but our bpt shouldn't go lower than what we currently have... if anything it'll be higher in comparison.

BTW, what are the 2 VC we are pursuing? Diplo + Domination?
 
And I suppose our votes + our vassals' are enough for a diplo win. Eg no need for making friends with other AIs.
