I'll upload the save after making some moves. GPP definitely needs to be rethought thanks to my RNG dices.

In any case, I've set most cities to grow. Since I got so *&%*&%*ed by the gpp RNG, we'll have to re-plan it accordingly (seriously, the odds of 3 GS were about 3%).

Going on a road trip for 20 minutes, I'll check back afterwards.
 
I'll take another good look at the save tomorrow and try to come up with a new GP plan. At least, the remaining gpp pools are not so much polluted.

Getting Communism now would only be better if we reach Mining faster, our research will drop considerably after the GA.
 
:) The player with the most scientific approach got the most great scientists.

As the city numbers are almost fixed, I think 10 turns/week might be a reasonable pace.

:D I tell you, my luck is cursed! It's a wonder that I did not lose more units in war.

I still have a few things at work for the week but I have enough free time to keep playing/planning GSs. We will finish earlier than the deadline, there are not many big issues left besides said GP plan. Most cities only finish research multipliers, hammer multipliers and then build wealth/run specialists.

We will need to make a few more troops to tackle Qin, he has Knights running about.
SB had not started SM that I could see last night.
 
However I look at it, I don't see much options to keep the GA outage short.
The current closest city, Rheims, has 30% odds of GS... I don't think I want to risk this again.

This means, the next city in line becomes... Orleans. By t202, we can get a guaranteed non-GS. (11-12-12-7 specs, loses 2 population)... 2 turns of GA lost and 2 pop lost in Orleans (quickly made up with Sushi) but we get RP+SP before the GA ends and can work on getting Mining Inc. shortly after.

If this sounds ok, then we can further delay Communism for the next GA and I will continue revamping the GPP plan so that we can't get screwed again.

EDIT:
The other option, is we get Communism now and don't lose those 2 GA turns. However, this delays Mining Inc (at least 1 turn but likely 2, the 2 turns spent on research in exchange for 2 turns of GA will only generate ~1000 beakers extra).
 
How about removing 1 GA?

A GA for the next 12 turns might give about

500 C/H (current working tiles are 257) * 12 * 1.5 = 9000 beakers

while 4 GSs could give 4 * 2500 / 1.2 = ~8000 beakers

Not huge difference.

We lose GPPs and delay the time to Mine and AL, but relieve the pressure of GP production a lot. With all these GSs, the difficulty of putting the right types of GPs in time looks harder.

If our actual victory date is before T236 (Should be T239 now) , then there is less gain of running a 4 GP GA.
 
That's an option of course. It also removes the flexibility of civic changes however, which we will need shortly. (Before 12 turns? If not the comparison is indeed better and allows cities to finally grow and be better prepared later for real GPP production)

An advantage of Communism, which I didn't mention, is Kremlin for whipping Factories+Coal Plants.
 
We can switch to slavery at the end of this GA. GP farms can still hire a bunch of specialists without CS.

Communism can be considered after mine.
 
Well then, if everyone (the majority) is ok with this new approach, I'll sketch something new and proceed. We already know I'm good at getting GS so there shouldn't be a problem there.
 
The luck is balanced as I always say, we already had a great luck of getting a GE in sossos's session.:D You war progress and capture have been quite good so far.;)
 
Still, I'd like to see no more GSs (no more scientists in GP farms, but good on other cities).;) After Electricity, GSs are useless, while GMs and GAs are useful all the time.

The only downside of less flexibility is more planning required. Beaker loss is neglible + we can culture bomb more (one or two extra, luck dependant). Since I still believe culture is bottleneck, it is good.

+1 to one GAge less.

I agree, GM is worth a lot more than GS, 4 GM vs. 4 GP-GAge might even be favorable in direction of 4 GMs.

I don't plan on playing soon, there is plenty of time left. I see there's still some micro to be done in some cities (besides the GP farms).

At least I only lost 1 Cannon at ~60% odds :p

A few culture bombs will be helpful, that's for sure. Sushi is not maxed at all at this point, the AI is not willing to trade their Sushi atm and there are several resources still up for grabs. If we ever manage to get all that should be possible, Sushi should give around 80c/t and 20F/t, which helps a lot to reach Legendary.
 
I lost one cat at 75% to barbs, one cannon at 94%, and threw cats at top defender at Dur without causing damage. It is obvious Duckweed and soundjata should do all the field work. sossos gets favirable GPs and you and me should go grab a beer.:D
 
Better to leave hamlets which are less than 10 turns to villages. Village is actually better than WS.

South islands needs more workers to chop those forests, they are more pressing than improving tiles which are not been worked in a while.

Orleans skips Bank due to the one almost finished in Poit? (already 6 even without the one in Orleans)

Dij has a spy.

Have you planned to produce CE in 1 turn in cities like Tolo, Vien, Vis as you said before. Thebes is good center for spread corporation to nearby cities with a bunch of forests. Try to save all the forests for CEs.

Shall we switch to FS? and OR as well. We need OR for Confu and Tao missionaries.
