Hi, so in frustration of my china 3000 bc start game I tried a 600 AD start instead and noticed a big difference in inflation rate.

1000 AD, 3000 BC start. 47%
1000 AD, 600 AD start 2%

Is there a way to slow down the inflation rate increase on 3000 BC starts so it doesnt end up crazy high in later eras?

Inflation should really just reset after an economic revolution, or maybe civil war... OR, there should be added the element of deflation.

Inflation shouldn't be understood as the representation of actual economic forces (like real life inflation), but a game mechanism intended to balance the overproportional growth of income over the course of the game.

Since inflation factors vary from civ to civ, it's hard to get it right that it works well for everyone in every scenario.

I just dont look at my financial screen, cuz those inflation numbers usually dissapoint me
