SGOTM 17 - Plastic Ducks

We should beware of the domination threshold though...
Nay, I'd raze anything that doesn't have the Paya (+York)

Guys the situation in Japan has changed:

Your fear of having me split the stack un-properly is gone because of culture recess. It was all calculated you know? :lol:

Spoiler :

and Kagoshima is almost empty.

Either Toku has almost zero units or they are all in Nara...

I have not caught the reason to keep York, for teleport?

Each new captured city adds ~5gpt to civic cost, that's drop to the total economy.

Send a treb to Nara should be enough.

I meant everything else in England, but we'll see how if goes at that point.

Toku is done for, no doubt. I thought the gold tile would be free of culture as well (see my culture drawings) but sometimes a few tiles get gobbled up near 2 cities ... don't know this mechanic.
Anyway, that's great news, we can send a few Trebuchets towards Nara as well. Just enough in case he gets whip happy.

After capture of York (T158) some 2 Trebs + defender have to go inside the city to head towards Coventry for bombarding.

There's an alternative which I just thought of now, we can split those few units on T156, instead of going SW, they go W (so 1N2E of York) on T156.
T157 they go NW and T158 they get to Coventry for bombarding the city. (1 extra turn of bombardment)

+1 extra turn of bombardment in Coventry
+no defenders needed in York = more units to throw at London/Nottingham
+less micro intensive
-could be a few units short to capture York

That's good. use it to promote some HAs. Enough to promote 6 level 3 HAs.

We just happen to have 9 HAs in the vicinity :)

I can promote all 9 or only 6, knowing 5 of them are 5XP and 4 of them are 2XP.
:confused:

We're at 33% land. AI with most land has 10%.

33 + 3*10 = 63 < 64%
Most of those cities will still be in revolt at the end of the game, I have 0 fear about domination. Could even keep Kyoto.

Seems to me that the original plan is better, how many units can we draw from Warwick stack to strengthen the York stack? Soundjata captured Warwick without loss.

Raze cities where our reinforcements are limited. I think Russia is ok, but remember that we need to take a Castle city on T162 with 0 turns of bombarding before that, which will require a substantial stack.

We should definitely raze York. Leaving 2 defenders puts us down to 9 units before the final round of teleporting.

Hahah, I meant we should not be (lazy fingers and I'm sorry). I said it long time ago, w/ the amounts of uncharted lands there is no way we would be closing domination.

Razing is to ensure the city won't be retaken, hence no defenders left behind.

Took Yekat but lost 3 units (2 trebs and one Xbow) or is it 4?
I suppose we raze as we don't want to have to defend it. And it does not even have an aqueduct!

Confirm?

If all goes well, it will be a Castle city with no walls :lol:
Easy bombardment!

~~~
We can't really reinforce the York stack I'm afraid, only send a few units to Coventry. The distance is too large, only 2MP units can get to Nottingham in time.
I razed in fear of a computer crash before I can save.
We lost 4 units btw (2 xbows) sorry that I failed :D
