The Queendom of Hummel has dissolved, and what was a leading economy now produces far less between its member states, the synergy of the Bienen having been lost.

The Mongolian Horde and Mongolian Legion have put aside their differences and have worked together to attack the Sino-Japanese backed government, the result being massive casualties on all sides. (-101 Chinese-Japanese influence, -70 501st Infa, -80 Horde Inf) With the support of the UNPC, it is expected the Mongolian government will win barring a massive influx of manpower and money.

North America

This War Is Insane. Countless citizens have objected to the unemployment crisis that has resulted from so much industry being moved inland, not to mention the complete destruction of their way of life on the frontlines. There are mass calls for the government to make peace and resign in the aftermath; failure to do so will cause violent repercussions. On the front, many people, often separated or left behind in the population transfer, are considering forming a collaborationist regime with the Confederates or New Americans in the hopes of a better lifestyle. Some are going so far as to say the government is guilty of aggression as this all stemmed from sticking the Syndicates’ noses into Scandinavia’s business. About 20% of the Syndicalist army’s draftees have already gone AWOL to make their point.

Hell No, We Won’t Go! After previous demonstrations showed no results barring a tax cut and an increased draft, the people of New America have declared the war over. A petition with over a million signatures has arrived at the Capitol, calling for the government to make peace with the Syndicates, abandon this war that is Scandinavia’s business, and then immediately resign. Several people have already burned their victory gardens or draft papers, and countless fresh soldiers have deserted.

What Are We Fighting For? After signing a peace accord with the Leth, many Confederates question exactly why the government is still prosecuting a war against the Syndicalists. Their concerns are backed by the considerable capital of the merchant class, who have lost billions in revenue due to the many embargoes and asset freezes imposed on them. Barring a naming dispute the Syndicates have inflicted no ill on the Confederacy, and the citizens are calling for an end to the war. Though those discontent with fighting are not yet in the majority, that will change if the situation does not. The business community make note that protests are currently far less dire than the ones in Norway, New America and the Syndicates, but this can change.


South America

Enough Is Enough! With hundreds of thousands dead and no progress made, the Norwegian people have rallied behind the Free Norway collaborationists, who advocate for an independent Norway that enjoys good relations with its former enemies in Sweden and Finland. They have formed a government, repudiated the sovereignty of Reykjavik over the country, and have petitioned the Syndicates and Swedes for recognition. Should the Coalition agree, they would find a new ally in the form of the Socialist Republic of Norway, certainly. The Republic’s first move has been to pass a resolution condemning monarchy and aristocracy, especially that which so willingly throws those it’s supposed to protect underneath a bus for some lofty goal.

Democratic Riots in Burgundy. A few thousand protestors have demonstrated against the regime and demanded free and open elections; the government has responded by fearing tear gas into the crowd, though there are no reports of fatalities thus far. The government announces it will be increasing spending on security to keep such discontent under wraps.

New Resources. The blood from sacrificial offerings to earn the favor of the Dharma prior to the fight with Al-Qaeda has revealed a highly-effective agricultural technique. (+2 Resource)

Baby Boom. Antioch’s couples have become more intimate lately, and the surge in wailing infants is a testament to such. (+8% population)

Plague! A group of bats infected with ebola have terrorized some small villages in the Azeri countryside, but the government was fortunately able to rein it in before catastrophe resulted from the incredibly-lethal virus. (-5,000 pop)

Tamil for Tamils! A lot of Crimson businesses have been torched, and many Crimson residents have fled as a result. The prospect of being beheaded is a wonderful incentive towards emigration. (-100 Influence)

Resource Deposits! In the battle against the Plague an old mine was found, rich in untapped resources. (+1 Resource in Azerbaijan)


Oceania

Terrorism in Eastralia. Primarily directed at the Crimson Court. Evidence appears to point to the Crimson units that went AWOL in the last two years. (-25 Influence)

Demonstrations in Tasmania. People have begun to demonstrate in favor of joining the Australian Confederation in Tasmania, an act that would unify the continent under a limited central government. As with most world governments the Tasman regime isn’t exactly prone to giving a crap.

You can send orders in both actual numbers, or as percentages of your budget. If you don’t like micromanagement you can appoint a Prime Minister; I will manage your budget for you in accordance with whatever goal you have. Just make sure to tell me what you’re aiming for! :p

Recommendations:

-Invest in the former Hummel countries - Denmark, Rhineland, Bavaria, Germany and Austria. They have no influence in them so whoever gets there first will make TONS of money.
-Espionage is a good tool to rein in NGOs. NGOs derive their income from their percentage of a host country’s total espionage value, similar to how countries earn client income. A good way to bury them is to invest in espionage in a country; even if you don’t root them out through counterintel you can still hurt them greatly in this manner.
-There’s a “profitability” measure on the Influence sheet. The higher the number, the more cost-effective it is to invest in that country.
-Participate in the UN. Even abstention votes will still generate some influence points; proposing resolutions and succeeding in getting them passed net the most points.
-Stay neutral. Neutral states don’t have to worry about things getting blown up, and a lot of events are biased towards peaceful countries.
-Invest in Siberia. Siberia will eventually end its civil war, and whoever invested in the sides will reap the rewards of this; you could gain a valuable ally from the anarchy. Even if you don’t win the war, you’ll still see lots of benefits.
-There are increasing theories that fission may have been a source of great power in the past. With enough education or military spending perhaps such theories could be looked into…
-West Australia is looking for allies. With them East Australia would surely follow.
-Invest espionage in countries you have influence in; this will help keep you safe from predatory attempts to purge your influence.

For the sake of the people in all involved nations, we demand that all powers accept white peace. The three most involved powers have countries to rebuild. This war has gone on too long. Let it end so we can give our people what they request.

Should all assembled ink this peace accord, the following shall become valid between all involved:

Article I. Responsibility for the War

Norway is in no responsible for the outbreak of this war, it having originated within the halls of the Iceland-Norway government in Reykjavik, far removed from the democratic assembly that presents this treaty to the victorious Coalition. This in mind, all signatories agree to discourage enmity between their peoples and educate them on this fact.

Article II: Condemnation of the Reykjavik Government

Through their avarice, the King and his Government in Reykjavik deduced they should conquer the people of Sweden. This was despite the close diplomatic and economic ties the two countries shared prior to the war. Upon the invasion of Sweden, other powers led by the Combined Syndicates felt the need to intervene against such blatant aggression, the war eventually spreading across the Atlantic and killing countless more innocent people. The signatories agree to condemn the government of Iceland-Norway for initiating this chain of bloody events.

Article III: Recognition of the Socialist Republic of Norway

By attending this signing recognition has already been granted, but by signing such recognition shall become binding upon the Nations Assembled. The Socialist Republic of Norway and its newly-elected government shall be granted recognition by all signatories, with recognition observed to have taken effect since January 1, 2210.

Article IV: Foreign Relations

By signing this peace accord, the powers agree to sign pacts of non-aggression with the new Socialist Republic of Norway. The Socialist Republic of Norway shall also sign a defense pact with the Combined Syndicates, so as to help foster peace on the Scandinavian peninsula. All signatories concur that the Kingdom of Iceland-Norway shall have no legitimate claim to Norway from this signing onward.

Article V: Reparations

By signing this peace accord, Norway shall assume the burden of repaying the Swedish people and their allies for the costs of this horrible war. You call for a white peace when your own citizens no longer want you to govern them. When you have torn your own country apart and ripped apart countless livelihoods. You no longer deserve to govern your country, much less make demands of a 'white peace'.

The Leth Confederacy echoes the sentiments of Occitania and Chcago, and will respond in full to any attempts to provoke further aggression.
 
We are not against a peace deal. We are against THAT peace deal. A White Peace is unacceptable. New Americans have died in droves in order to stop Chicago. We will not throw those lives away just so 'peace' can be achieved and a later generation can face the same threat from Chicago again once we rebuild.

May we remind Occitania that France is on the other side of the Atlantic. You have no business in North America. We wish there was a polite way to put that, but there simply isn't.

Bearing that in mind, any peace deal we will accept shall see Chicago...what's the word? NERFED. We will not see the next generation faced with the same threat that our current generation faces. Again, what huge affront to New America has the Syndicates perpetrated? Because no hostile action pre-war had been taken since the initial ultimatum that had been quickly dropped, and never brought up again.

And unscathed? Are you kidding? Our people are displaced, our industry is in tatters, and you believe we are walking out of this conflict as we walked in? I don't think there is much left to be said about this.

The Confederate States of America, unhappy at the New American's unwillingness to listen to their country's demands, issued the following statement this morning:

"We are outraged at our fellow's terrible choices following demands by their citizens. First and foremost, let it be known that we are accepting the white peace offer, due to demands made by our citizens. However, our involvement in this battle has not come to an end. If the New Americans, clearly reveale to now be dictators, refuse to end this war, we will send monetary and intellectual support to the Chicago Syndicates.

"However, we are now severing our alliance with the Americans, even if they cease the fight, due to their tyranny. Furthermore, we offer an alliance to the far more sensible Leth, and the Zetas. This is as a preemptive defensive measure against Occitanian threats, and as a way to stabilize the North American continent. We hope they accept.

"This region is in turmoil, and all steps must be taken to end the devestation wracking the land. If any others wish to join this alliance for stability, we welcome them to the coalition."
 
The Leth Confederacy would like to point out the double standard of the New Americans in criticizing Occitanian involvement in North America less then 4 years after they attempted to instigate a war in the Iberian peninsula.

In addition, we happily agree to an alliance between ourselves and the Confederates.

This vote will go out to all citizens of the Combined Syndicates under government control and serves one purpose: What the people would prefer the outcome of this war to be. Would they prefer a white peace? Would they prefer we make demands of New America? Or perhaps they would prefer to cede to some demands of the New Americans? The government wishes for the people to decide this as the one of the final acts of the Emergency Government before it resigns after the pending peace.

The citizens of the Syndicates have deliberated. The assault by New America was unprovoked, but on the other hand, there is not much of a bargaining position on the Syndicates' part. In line with this, the people of the Syndicates desire a white peace most of all, though some concessions would be tolerable given that the war has outside benefits in the Syndicalist yoke over Northern Europe.
 
Negotiations between The Combined Syndicates of America and New America have concluded. They have produced the following treaty which is due to be signed:

Treaty of Columbus​

1. New America and The Combined Syndicates of America agree to cease hostilities, and agree to a 10 year NAP.

2. The Combined Syndicates agree to cede New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York to New America.

3. The province of Ontario is to be cede, and released as a new NPC nation, "Canada". Canada is to have equal New American and Chicago influence, starting at 100. Any influence investment made by either power shall be split equally between the two. Canada shall have a DP with both nations, and shall be more or less the neutral between the two. No other nations besides us shall be able to invest in influence in Canada.

4. New America and the Combined Syndicates shall agree to embark upon a joint rebuilding program. This program shall involve open borders between the two, a common currency (the dollar), and hopefully herald a new age of cooperation on the North American continent.

5. To safeguard against the easy shutdown of Chicago's new coastline in Virginia and Maryland/Delaware, New America shall sign an agreement that pledges its navy to prevent any blockade of the Chicago coast, and Chicago shall do the same in regards to the New American coastline. Essentially, a naval DP.

6. The population of the ceded territory shall have the option to either rebuild their lives in their old territory under New American governance, or to receive money from the New American government to start new lives amongst the rebuilding effort in land that will remain under Chicago rule. It is entirely up to them.
