All current nations are accepted (Nedim's will be, as long as he gives me good reasoning).
Note- Small islands are NOT worth EP, but they can provide a bonus in terms of military planning and/or RP.
Also, I'm going to need one person who will be able to edit the map for me. My iPad always formats the map as a .jpg image due to its size, and things end up not working after reuploading it. In the beginning of this game, that person will just put all the claims on a map for me; during the game, I will send that person the claims post-order lock, and they just have to put the claims onto a map for me.
We can recognise the ancient Macedonian Kingdom as Greek, but please do remember that our Slavic Macedonia lies within a geographical region known as Macedonia, which encompasses Macedonia as well as parts of Greece and Bulgaria.
In essence, if we recognise ancient Macedonia as Greek, we should be allowed to keep the name "Macedonia" if purely on a geographical basis.
Ok. But we want you to name your Macedonian Republic "Republic of Slavic Macedonia". Also, we want to ask you not to expand in Greek Macedonia, if possible.
You thought the Seminole tribe dissappeared..... You thought they were defeated... assimilated.... annihilated.... You were wrong.
The Seminoles survived. They just moved to Antarctica to live with the penguins. But after 2012, the ice started to melt, and when they didn't have enough space left, they moved to Africa. But the harsh jungles and deserts of Africa were too much for the Seminoles, so they migrated almost anywhere in the world, raiding random tombs ( thus earning the "Tombraider' status) and finally established in southern Romania, replacing and assimilating the locals.
Their leader, Chief Wise Potato, tried to copy the military dictatorship systems of other nations, but didn't do it very well, but still , he got the nation on it's feet: The Polar Order of Seminole Tombraiders.
Government: Unstable Military Dictatorship Leader : Chief Wise Potato
Capital : Ploiesti City, Prahova Region.
Armies
Eastern Regiment - Based in the east of the country
Western Regiment - Same as above, only in the west.
Mountain Guerilla Fighters - Central-northern area.
Independent Professional German Mercenary Unit - location unknwon
Altough I may seem warlike, I might actually want to keep myself allied with mostly anyone. Violence will be used only and ONLY if the enmy atatcks first and if anyone tresspasses the rightful lands of Greater Romania.
All nations (excluding Nedim's, still waiting on his backstory) accepted. Just waiting on KaiserElectric and MarinLuther to post their nations, and then I'll start the 24 hour countdown. More nations are still welcome to join
UPDATE 0 In which this game begins, and my sanity ends
December 21st, 2112.
Nations are finally beginning to form out of the ashes. In Southeast Europe, three nations seemed go come out of nowhere at the same time, stretching from Italy to Wallachia. In Khartoum, a new Republic arose out of the formerly unstable ashes. The People's Republic of China once again found itself to stand, and on the other side of the world, so did a unified New England and Republic of Lakotah. In the Caribbean, the islands and a chunk of Venezuela saw signs of civilization again.
Will things remain stable?
Only time will tell.
Notes:
-Nedim and Robert made darker shades for my sanity.
-Anyone who didn't specify their military got 5 armies
-If you build x factories this turn, you cannot build x units until next turn. Units ARE useable on the turn they are built.
-EP totals for Lakotah, Maracaibo, and POST are 24.5. I still need to write the commands that do it automatically for me.
-Do not round off your EP. If you need something to do with that extra .5, bank it.
The Commonwealth is wide open for trade agreements right about now. Actual trade agreements with agreements, not just "sign trade with everyone" agreements.
The Comrade
(December 21 2112 issue, now also sold in the rest of the Balkans! Cost: 50 qindarka)
Albania Fully incorporated!
In an epic struggle, the remnants of the fascist government of South Albania were fully incorporated into the unified government of the Balkan republics. Today is truly a great day for those who have seen us rise and, through proletarian revolution, have made us the nation we are.
Spoiler:
Our brave troops celebrate in the streets of South Albania
Leader's national speech
"My dear Comrades! Dear guests!
Today marks the day where we created the second true socialist state in the Balkans, far away from the revisionism of Stalin and Mao and into a glorious future. Everybody who was involved in the founding of our glorious nation is hereby highly commended and thanked.
Our nation will be the cornerstone for international socialism and the bastion against neo-fascistic and revisionist nations. I thank you all, a million times!" (applause)
Retaliation!
we are shocked to report that the petty warlords of Northern Serbia have decided that they are superior to us and that they have a right to invade us. In retaliation, Serbia is to be annexed into the Republic, peacefully or not. Several Serbians running from these oppressive fascist warlords, have already enlisted into the armies of the Republic. It is time to take matters into our own hands and ensure continued stability in the Balkans through diplomacy, gunboat or otherwise. Interview with President of South Serbia, Petar Stojanovic
Comrade: Comrade President, the agression from the North has put your position within the Republic in question, no?
Stojanovic: Indeed. Before, we were on the outer fringe of a Republic led from the South. But today, that has all changed with the attacks from various warlords and the unrecognized Republic of Serbia. It also places a heavy weight on our shoulders: unwanted agression by the North is by no means easy to supress.
C: But isn't Serbia one of our member Republics?
S: Not so far, or at least not completely. This is due to a limit on the amount of partisans we could control and the North was firmly out of our grasp.
C: Some might argue that the attack solely exists to serve your goals of a unified Serbia and before you accuse us of unpatriotic activity, we stand under protection of the Republic of Albania.
Spoiler:
"Unwanted agression by the North is by no means easy to supress" - South Serbian President Petar Stojanovic
S: We are not the aggressors in this war, I thought that much is obvious.
C: Indeed.

Sports: Cetinje beats Skopje 2-1 in football - see page 12 for details
Movie review: Historie e Kinës Kontinentale - "Utter piece of trash" - see page 20 for details
Culture: Orchestra of Sarajevo to play in Tirane December 24th 2112, will include "Hymni I Flamurit" and other fine anthems
Weather: Montenegro and Albania look to be sunny, East Bulgharia and Slavic Macedonia may be overcast or sunny depending on the situation. Nothing but rain in Serbia
SpoilerWhat did this guy actually do? :
Claim this:
Build 2 Armies:
1st Serbian Volunteer Corps
1st Albanian "Zog" Volunteer Corps
Build 1 Air Wing:
1st Bomber Command "Partisan"
(OOC: there may be a IOTVII reference in there somewhere...)
SpoilerWhat are the pictures actually and what's with the Albanian? :
The picture accompanying the article about Albania is from WWII and depicts partisans in Tirana.
The president of South Serbia is incidentally King Zog before he was King.
Hymni I Flaurit is the Albanian National Anthem.
Final historical note: the leader's speech was adapted from a speech made by Erich Honecker on the 40th Anniversary of the founding of the DDR. I took the speech (which is in one of my German textbooks), took relevant parts and translated that into context.
The movie title is a reference to
SpoilerIf you don't want to bring back those memories :
Mainland China. The title is roughly "the Story of Mainland China" while the "utter piece of trash" refers to both the initial reception of the concept and the current stance towards it.
On a happier IOTVII note, the Sarajevo Orchestra is a reference to Vedran Smailović
