Partly by cheating.

I threw most of my guys into foreign territory so they won't flip. In this case, all the chinese forces guarded Shangai and on my brazilian takeover most of my army was on Brasilia. Therefore, I held most of my military and could recapture my former cities. The only place this was difficult was on Indonesia, but it fell later on. Only a few cities were guarded such as La Serena so that Colombia won't conquer them or Montevideo which had just airplane garrison because I couldn't fit them all on Buenos Aires.

Probabily because of the fact that I'm stability-protected and that I conquered so many cities as well as the Imperialism civic helping me protect my stability (in case non-DoC players are reading this, you gain stability by conquering cities but cities on Foreign Core Area (AKA: The flip zone of the civs in most cases) give you a stability penality.). However, deep inside me I think it's a miracle.

In case you The Greatest Jihad fans are wondering when the next part is coming, it is coming, it's coming next day everytime I update this story
8th Emperor of the River Plate: Baltasar III "The crazy"

During the reign of Baltasar the Conqueror, Argentina retook most of it's former colonies and added to their collection Tibet and part of India. During his reign he was very popular amoung locals and huge statues were raisen to honour him all over the empire with heroic poses.

However, his son, Baltasar the Crazy will not be the same.

At first, he was liked by the people and they thought that he will be the next Baltasar the Great. However, his reign will soon be challenged by 3 nations. Mexico, Japan and Egypt. You see, Argentina had treaties with America and Sweden to help them in case of an invasion and the other powers mentioned also had defensive pacts to help eachother. America declared war on Mexico, and you guess what happened next.



He wasn't very fit to be emperor. He was known for often having anger bursts out of nowhere. So he was extremely furious and after launching a hour rant (literally) about how everyone opposing Argentina was evil, he launched his nuclear weapons on Japan and on Egypt.





Because of what was called the "Nuclear outburst", he was criticized and devilfied inside and outside of his country, specially for pruposedly irradiating the Nile waters by launching a missile to the nile. This did not put end to his anger though. He even killed his only son for objecting to his attitude. He wanted to conquer Japan launching nuclear missiles, effectivily making Hiroshima and Nagasaki something that would repeat all over southren Japan.



He also did the first succesful militar disembarking in the entire history of Japan.



He conquered India (except for a central city, which guess who took it over.

Guess.

That's right, SSIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAMMMMMM!!!!!! (the poor guy in the center is Siam).

Seriously, why do they like to conquer cities on inconvenient places? Worst of all, the cities they conquered never flipped.

However, this was not enough. He was only popular with the military but the rest of the people thought that he was an evil man.

"He behaved like a warlord from the medieval ages. He could not stand any criticism and had everyone that criticizing him on jail. He was also very vulgar and had no chivalry. Thank god he died just in time, or the whole empire would be overthrown" -Quote from the book "The history of the royal house of the River Plate", written by Carlos I, the next emperor.

Eventually the people had enough of him and he was overthrown on March 5, 2029. It was replaced by an assembly that ruled Argentina for the extent of the sino-argentine war. The assembly landed on Kyoto and defeated the few defenders avaiable.



On November 13, the assembly gave Japan their opportunity to capitulate to Argentina. This was accepted and a puppet state was established on Japan.

Since no one seemed to catch the funny pic, look at the events screen.

Also there's going to be a timeskip to the 10th emperor since nothing really intresting happens during the 9th emperor.


Times of the Assembly and Henry I

Despite the fall of Japan, the assembly took over until the sentence by execution to Baltasar the Crazy. However, before this sentence was carried out, he died of a heart attack at his jail, just 4 months after the fall of Japan.

After that, it was not known who shall be the heir of the emperor. He had no alive sons. The assembly tried to make it a legislative election, but the people feared that another Baltasar will take over, and so they began an empire-wide cacerolazo. Finally, the goverment was forced to give up against national pressure and allowed the first, and possibily only, democratic elections. In the election, Henry I won. (2029 - 2037). He came from the House of Cordoba, a breakup from the House of Buenos Aires that began at 1875 by dissatisfied nobles but later it would support the gubernamental orthodoxy of Buenos Aires.

During the times of Henry I, the Argentine state developed in idleness, strengthening it's military due to the dead-end that has been reached on the technological field. Since so many pioneers were exiting Earth due to war and destruction, the emperor Henry I developed a space program but it would not be finished within his lifetime. He died of an airplane crash at Singapore, probabily attacked by a rebel although they have never been found, so this left a hole for conspiracy theorists to suggest that the House of Buenos Aires, angry at the loss of it's predominance, shot down the airplane themselves in a base hidden in the mountains.

10th Emperor of the River Plate: Julian I

The newly-crowned emperor, Julian I, was not ready to take over. His goverment was directed towards his uncle, Juan de Pekin. However, this man was an unable mentor and soon the country was, again, drifting into chaos.



His incompetent governance just ended in time before another wave of cacerolazos occured on the empire. But Julian I did not seem to learn much. His ally, Sweden, just capitulated to France and a puppet state was established in Sweden. Julian I declared war on France, which meant fighting against all it's colonies.

Nevermind. I'm not updating today. I don't feel in the mood to post today. I don't know when I'll update.

How 'bout now?

Here is the long awaited update for Argentina! The actual reason of why I haven't been updating is that I felt I rampaged too often, but now I finally decided to get over it and update this long-dead story. However, I now feel like I want to tell how the nuclear holocaust continues.

The Argentine emperor decided to break his promise that he wouldn't nuke more countries. The reason why is that he felt that the amount of territories that the enemy had justified the nuclear holocaust. However, he also launched them before the main argentine cities were also nuked. The one problem is that, by then, Paris was too depopulated as a result of the war. The goverment also was expecting a nuclear bomb there and as a result refugeed in a nuclear shelter.



Colombia also decided that the time has come to finally destroy the Argentine Empire. However, they were surprised when, instead, they tasted fire from a bombardement by mobilized artillery while the colombians for the most part still used WWII-era artillery as their main artillery unit. They also lacked air superiority and bigger numbers, so the Argentine forces took down the invasion forces down easily.

The argentine empire continued it's nuking, this time nuking the french colony of Mongolia and Venezuela. Also, from now on, the nuclear explosions become too many and it's hard to mention them all.







Argentina's only ally, America, faded into the books of history after the secession crisis, where the democratic party, an underground party since all parties but the People's American Party were banned, convinced several states of the union that the USSA was unconstitutional. They seceded from it and this sparked a civil war that rapidly murdered most of the population like it happened on Russia. Also, little did they expected about the economic consequences and the effects of the nuclear fallout along with it's several chemicals released to the atmosphere due to the nuking of industrial centres, so there was a huge collapse in the social system. Effectively, America became a horde of semi-anarchic states.

This had a disputed huge effect in Argentina. Nobody knows what suddenly turned Argentina from a semi-stable country to a state in the brink of collapse, wether it was the nukes that were rapidly killing off the population or wether America, indeed, had a deep root in Argentine society that it made the latter dependant from the former. Either way, Argentine stability soured in a way never seen before in the entire recorded history of mankind. This was due to the huge lootings on stores with american products on them.



This is a sign that the grim end of civilization is near. In no less than a year, the deserts expanded at a rate never seen before. Nothing could stop it. In argentine hands, the U.N effectively was powerless. Despite the U.N was designed to avoid the destructive apocalypse, apparently it wasn't enough. It had little, if any, control of the countries of the world.

These are the last updates I did before I got my new monitor and I just began playing what possibily shall be the last chapter of the argentine story. 8th Chapter: The Grand Finale



Most Argentine troops on Asia have been gathered for the invasion of Europe. The plans for the invasion state an attack by Argentine forces on Ankyara via the Persian Empire. They would conquer Ankyara and then the Balkans, thus crippling Austria. After the fall of Austria, they would have all of the Balkans in their hands. This attack plan was immediatly approven by the Argentine Emperor, Julian II.



During this time, the Argentine Armada suffered a tragic defeat while bombarding the defenses of the Guyanas.



For the first time in many years, Argentina is in peace with Germany. The reasons why is that, since Operation Barbarossa, Germany became a powerful country as it controled western Russia. Also, because they didn't want to fight a strong enemy at the invasion of the Balkans.



The Argentine Empire also began invading Australia. At first, this was to stop French raids on Argentina, but then they took over the city of Laplace and razed it due to the nearby GOF (Garde Coloniale Francaise, or on English, French Colonial Guard) that was too strong to fight. Unless...











The French Empire collapsed shortly after the destruction of the GOF. The nuclear holocaust was also killing off the social structure, and by 2061, what was once the French Empire was destroyed by a massive wave of lootings. The Argentine Empire is next to fall. But meanwhile, they will take the spoils of war by capturing the French Guyana.



In order to meet as little resistance as possible, the Argentine Empire did the captain obvious action. Surprisingly though, Colombia was still stable.



However, it's population was killed off by the nuclear destruction. Colombia then signed a pact that Sweden will help them in return of the former becoming a dependency of the latter.



Yet this didn't stop the Argentine from blitzing through Colombian territory. Quito was later nuked and was taken over somwhere in 2066-2068. However, Colombia continued to resist in the Caribbean.



Sweden, in order to help it's dependency, tried to do a landing a la D-Day. However, it's one ship came unescorted, thus receiving the ultimate Argentine banhammer.

4 years later... It was suddenly all over.







The Argentine Empire collapsed. By then, the argentine army that was talked about at the beggining of this post finally reached Anatolia. Due to the defenses of the latter, Ankyara was nuked off. However, later, the Persians would exploit this vaccum of power to their advatge. But now the Argentine Empire was effectively dead.

Epilogue

The Argentine Empire was the worst thing that could have happened in the last centuries. It was yet the worst form of imperialism. The defenders of this now-collapsed empire argue that Argentina was no different from what other dictatorships such as USSR did in their time. They too nuked randomly. And besides, if France too had the nuclear stockpile Argentina did, would it had used them in the same irrational way Argentina did? Many argue that yes, they would have used them that way.

The Argentine Empire split up into weak warlordships. Korea seized eastern China, Siam took over eastern India and southern China.

There were only two semi-stable states that succeded the Argentine Empire.

The Kingdom of Buenos Aires was formed out of the states that supported Buenos Aires. It's major cities were disconnected from eachother. After the war, local alliances presented an ultimatum that, if Argentina uses nuclear weapons once again, war will be upon them.

The second and most intresting one is the Anatolian Empire. After the short-lived invasion of the Balkans, the army in Anatolia went rouge. They conquered Constantinople and Ankyara and then they invaded Greece and the rest of the Balkans. 20 years later, their succesors no longer considered their empire South American cultured and it was renamed to the New Byzantine Empire.

Teal is their biggest extent during the first empire.
Blueish teal is the second empire's extention.
Blue is the Kingdom of Buenos Aires.
Light teal on Turkey is the conquered territory by the invasion before the collapse of the second empire.
Dark green with blue means two things. In China, is the territory that was Argentine on the first empire that was never restored (actually, it's just Shenyang and Beijing, the rest was never Argentine). In Turkey it means the current extension of the New Byzantine Empire.
And finally, the green in China is the Free City of Kaifeng.

OOC: And so it ends my first story on the S&T forums. Thank you guys for the support. Tommorow, the update on Sumeria is coming, and now I gotta start the new story.
