5020 Years of Greatness: A Babylon OCC in RFC DoC

You know the Punjab punishment for a punk rocker incorrectly punctuating a pun isn't at all puny. It is very punitive and may puncture a person's hope of becoming a pundit. During the Punic wars, they even punted people like footballs.

Wow. That is impressive.

Due to several other commitments and factors outside of my control, no update today. However, I promise that I'll update at least once this week.

You win. I give up.

Chapter 22: Nations United

All nations were united by a resounding peace treaty and the construction of the United Nations in Ashur.

Hammurabi hit up on some more single deals, though he cancelled a coald, unnecessary deal with America.

In addition to single resource trades, Hammurabi also made some tech trades.

Despite some population millin' around, Ashur had reached 20 million people. Also, a Python Error as icing on the cake. Also, another rather Great Merchant was born.

Plastics were discovered by Hammurabi, allowing him to play with Legos and to build a powerful hydro plant.

Some Holly trees were grown in Ashur, marking the film industry in Hollywood.

Smelling weakness in Safavid Persia, as well as seeing the massive Viking army invading Iran, Hammurabi decided to join the dogpile and invade Iran. I ran off of the scene there, but Hammurabi captured and burned down Yazhad after Scandinavia took Isfahan.

While the war was still roaring on, Hammurabi computed the technology of Computers, and thus start production of the Internet.

Babylonian scientists made a literal technological breakthrough with Rocketry when a rocket broke through the window and displayed its effectiveness, but the technology was stolen from Turkey nonetheless.

The Kong Miao for Confucianism, which was only practiced in Ashur, was built there by the auspiciously named Great Prophet.

Hammurabi made a very Aluminating and bright deal with Maria, who also showed him how to fly an airplane in return for him showing her... certain pleasant things...

Spies stole yet another technology from the Turks, intending to learn how to nuke Turkey in a microwave (get it?).

Finally, the Internet was designed in 1966, allowing me to write this completely fictional story.

Until next time, write completely fictional stories on the Internet (by that I mean Civ 4 S and T)!

Man, RFC is so fun!

LOL 3 stars in each stability category but Unstable. Silly RFC :p

The size of Ashur is 29:eek:.A pretty big city, I need to say.

Spoiler :
But once I saw a Lahore size 79:mischief:

That's why Blue Mosque is basically required for an OCC.
Or barring that, getting the Opera House as one of your National Wonders.

Regrettably, Islam didn't spread to Ashur in time, and I hadn't thought of modding the scenario to allow an OCC.

Chapter 23: Technology and War

Hammurabi learned several things from this newfangled Internet. However, that finally made the Great Library obsolete.

After that discovery, Hammurabi decided to write a Python program to worship the Greek gods, especially Apollo.

Humorously enough, the single city of Ashur is more cultured than any of the other massive empires on the list.

Internet discoveries shot through the laser.

Iran at an Iranian attempt to invade Babylon, but I heard it was repulsed.

Hammurabi decided to support his life by looking at Python exceptions and advertising himself as a U.N. canidate.

A so-so peace treaty was finally made with the Soviets, albeit at the price of some gold.

A few more Single deals were made. They were a hit, though.

Though Hammurabi could support his life, he still had a long way to go before reaching Alpha Centauri...

Happy belated New Year! There might just be an update coming your way later today...

@mrrandomplayer, et al

Good story, I just started playing RFC (haven't yet played DoC)...

Question on the cultural borders after Iran respawns. How is it possible for them to push the culture all the way back to your capital (screen shots ~1924 AD)? You did build more wonders 1924-1950s and pushed them back, but I don't even get how they could usurp the tiles right into your capital's BFC when you have been there since the beginning and should have so much tile culture invested.

Then after that, like screen shots 1953 etc what gives with the culture maps with the interdigitation of your and their culture? I never understood this mechanic in Civ 4.

//can a capital flip? (I've only seen it in an illustrated story from Sulla a long time ago)

Thanks for the comment! If you're not playing an OCC like I am, your capital can flip in DoC (I don't know if Rhye disabled squatting), so be careful. Remember that lots of flips can be easily gotten around or prevented.

The culture screenshots are because that area is Iran's core area and only my historical area. It's really annoying, but the only way to get around it s to burn down Isfahan or wait a really long time and have lots of cultural influence. With the new stability changes for DoC, it's literally impossible.

DoC is a great mod, you should download it.
