We must agree with the Saxony-Bavarians. The increasing Republican sentiment, and the illegal overthrow of the Hanoverian government is just that, illegal. Prussia asks for the return to normalcy, or we will be forced to intervene and return the proper government to power.

The Persian-Delhi Pact

Article one: Both nations undertake to maintain peaceful and friendly relations between them and mutually respect the territorial integrity and inviolability of the other nation.

Article two: The unclaimed lands to the north of Persia and Delhi shall remain independent lest both nations come to an agreement.

Article three: If either nation enters into a conflict with a nation not included in this pact, the other nation shall remain neutral in the conflict or side with the other nation of this pact.

Article four: This pact shall remain valid for five years. If neither nation denounces the pact within one year before the expiration date, it will automatically be assumed that the pact shall remain valid for another five years.

We would also invite Russia to weigh in upon the pact, perhaps they may even want to be included?

Also, we would like to facilitate discussions concerning the lands mentioned in article two.

I've tried to find reference to said treaty and all i find is a stipulation allowing Dutch trade while the island closed itself off to all other foreign trade (in particular the Portuguese who had assisted the Shimabara Rebellion). I have not been able to find any treaties stating that the Dutch were given monopoly over foreign trade.

Obviously I'm involved in this whole Japanese/Dutch thing diplomatically and before i get into it too deeply, I would be very appreciative if any of the more historically competent players could help me understand what exactly was signed in 1639.
 
Nope. The Dutch actually didn't even have the exclusive right to trade: this was shared with Ryukyu, the Ainu, China, and Korea. They were just the only western power allowed in Japan after Shimabara Rebellion, in which the rebels were largely Christian converts.
 
Define 'allowed'. Allowed by the Japanese or by the treaty?

Please forgive me for switching so soon. I request to play as Peru instead of Florida. I thoroughly evaluated, and feel it would be too difficult and non-engaging in SKNES if I was to play as Florida.

In pursuit and support of democratic peace across the North American continent, it is the official position of the Dominion of New England that actions must be taken to restore peace and order within the Tejan state. Dubois has violated his rights as a democratically elected leader, and his suspension of the democratic process is a grave violation of the trust placed in him by the electorate. In defense of liberty, we join the American Republic in strongly urging Pierre Dubois to peacefully relinquish his ill-gained despotic powers, and hold elections forthwith. The American Republic has our full support on the matter.
